Does anyone have any information regarding this please as having looked on the internet there have been many issues . My car has approx 30k miles on the clock and advice from dealer was sell the car or buy new gear box ! iantt Posted August 20, 2017 Share Posted August 20, 2017 not heard of any major issues with the 1.4 autobox, its not the dct250 box that all the issues related to, used in the 1.6 engine.transmission malfunction can ocour for a number of reasons. have they told you what the problem is? When driving the gear change is very erratic , sometimes lots of revs and then a big clonk as it jumps into gear .
