Yep, but not the posh folding types from Ford, I spent £1.80 on Amazon for the "old fashioned" plastic types.  They fit the 3.5 door profile fine at the height they need to be for other car doors.

:laugh:

I have those, best thing ever! :w00t:

They can't be retro- fitted after they leave the factory.

i thought they could, i looked into it and the cost stopped me fitting them even at dealer cost prices.

then i saw quite a few broken so that put me off also.

this evening ive spoken to a lad i used to work with and he recons its easy to fit. the holes are there both ends , and 2 screws each end holding the plunger and the protector assy , then a cable links the 2 together which just clips in various points in the door.
but he confirmed its a costly retrofit.

I had them on my previous Focus, had quite a few issues with them snapping off, getting trapped against the passenger door.

First one was covered under warranty, second time I had to pay. They are a good idea, but just be sceptical that they do snap off.

Thanks guys

but after speaking to a lad at work who has had them he also said don't bother as he and others in his family have also had them fail and snap off so don't think it's worth it

  • 2 years later...

The ford fiesta door edge protectors seem to fail when it’s cold must be a design fault, my driver side doo protector snapped off yesterday morning when it was cold.

@Tommo17

I have retrofitted those protectors to my Focus. Easy job, it is pretty intuitive where you should put the part on.

I have 2 small kids and pretty narrow parking spots so it was a must for me to retrofit those 😄 lol

But it is very hard to find a used set for sale.
