Few questions about my fiesta ( 2007 )

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a few questions about my fiesta zetec...

1. When I am pressing the button on my key to lock the doors all my doors are locking except my driver door, you can hear it clicking as if it is trying to lock but nothing.

2. I don't know if this is just mine or not but my head lights are very dull, I just want to know what bulbs sort of bulbs to get to help this (without breaking the bank)..

3. my radio has the button to accept/decline call also say I can connect my phone but cant fine my radios Bluetooth on my phone, does this mean it doest have Bluetooth calls or am I doing something wrong?

If anyone can help with any of the above please let me know...

thanks alot

I am not too sure about the door question but I can help with the others.

So as your fiesta is a MK6, I believe it uses H4 bulbs for the dipped beam (that's what it says on the bulbs list post), you can get some Philips X-tremeVisions which I myself can recommend, they are much brighter and whiter than the originals and I wouldn't say they are too expensive, Here is a link to them.

Regarding the radio question, which radio do you have?

On my 2007 Fiesta (Mk6.5) . Press door lock button once, all doors locked  or   press it twice in quick succession and deadlocks activate.   If it only clicks and does not lock it sounds like door card needs to be removed and investigate, need oiling inside door maybe?

I never thought the headlights were too bad, they has plastic covers on though which deteriorate and reduce the light output as they get worse (scratches and yellowing). Mine were going but only really at the top where the sidelights were.  Contrary to handbook, you can replace the headlamp bulbs without removing headlamps from car but it is very fiddly and you probably need to use a dentists mirror first time to see how the bulb retaining clip goes. Once you know, you can do it by feel. I never managed to change sidelight bulbs without removing headlamps from car. The bottom headlamp retaining screw is difficult as the top of the bumper is in the way. Remove radiator grill (clips in place) and flex the bumber away from screw.

Radio-  (I no longer have the car) can't remember if any phone button. Certainly never used a phone with it. I reckon it would be too old to have bluebooth in it on a standard radio in a Zetec Ford

I have a 56 style and my radio does have Bluetooth and aux functions but doesn't actually have the stuff in the back to make them work. That could be the case with yours but being a zetec I'm not 100% sure.

No idea about the door issue sorry.

H4 bulbs for dipped/high beam and I would suggest osram night breakers (https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-parts/car-electrics-and-car-lighting/lighting1/car-bulb/?48177019N&0&cc5_847&gclid=Cj0KCQiAuZXQBRDKARIsAMwpUeTCc0U6NDhurKuLlZeKP6qCSc8bN5sGY_mzYv_mPd3RoEWzg_6A7tMaAhkeEALw_wcB) had them in mine since I bought it a year ago and never had a issue with the bulbs.

My radio is the sony unit with the accept and decline buttons however if the very first owner didnt have it added as an optional extra they just end up being mute buttons
