Things have been halted for a bit as my room is getting refurbished. Dad had this underseat sub lieing around so might install this when my room is done. Today found the remote for it so have to see if it works. Also need to get the front calipers sprayed gloss black to match the rear.

I have the Alpine underseat sub.but i also fitted fusion component Speakers with tweeters . I used low level rca output converter using my sony 6cd dab headunit.
The sound is awesome even at low level sound.

I remember seeing those in your build topic. Look good 👍. Funny thing is I don't think the mk6 fiestas have tweeters. My gran had a mk5 fiesta and that had separate tweeters. If I was going to change the Speakers I'd probably go with kenwood and probably get the Sony headunit. I've just been busy with my room. Hopefully near the end of finishing the bits needed before waiting for the carpet and bed to come. I'm also going on holiday next week so no time at all for the car 🤣

Ordered these switchback fogs from autobeam. They are doing a black Friday deal and managed to get them at a steal price. They increased the price from £35 to £40 but I had it in the basket back when it was on sale for £30 so managed to get it for £32 (taxes and shipping plus the black Friday discount code added). Would of been around £37 if I bought it at the increased price and added the discount code.

bulbs arrived. Quickly tested one and looks nice. Couldn't have a good look as the Weather was forcing me to go indoors. So comes on white when first turned on then yellow when turned off and on then looks to be a warm white after switching it off and on again. The halos kind of get in the way but hopefully the light can shine out onto the road.

will be waiting for the pics once you get to test the bulbs on a dry day

I think it might be a little difficult getting pictures as the camera might not be able to pick up the fog light behind the halo rings but will adjust the exposure to see if it helps. Will arrange a day to put the car in the garage to fit the bulbs in and also to grease the petrol filler cap as its becoming too stiff to open with the key. Also need to do a service but not too worried due to my short mileage 😂. Will have to change the auxiliary belt and later the front driver side tire as that came up in the MOT as near the legal limit. Have to resist the odd wheel spinning at the moment 🤣

So put the car in the garage today to fit the fogs in. Sadly the fan unit makes the bulb stick out that much that it's touching the AC pump so cannot screw in fog lens. Did get some good pictures.

Began removing the fog light cover, lens then bulb. DSC_0660.thumb.JPG.c34c3870b4657c35ebdefaa78903255f.JPGDSC_0662.thumb.JPG.6f585ccbbeac177f499a38a6b42bfd37.JPGDSC_0663.thumb.JPG.544a112c1a498a98208c8f8838a59311.JPG

Tested the bulb and these are the light colours. You switch them by turning the lights off and on. Looks to be 6500k, 3000k and a warm white (say about 4000k). DSC_0665.thumb.JPG.a6703b3c1e6c2ddf4f9ac976e12d79f6.JPGDSC_0666.thumb.JPG.de03be9e7bac362419d54371e224318f.JPGDSC_0667.thumb.JPG.1c2655e0088e25792bc19024395bdf43.JPG

Looks like the AC pump is getting in the way. DSC_0669.thumb.JPG.5e3b0f3cf8e612842295f0b0cd11f879.JPGDSC_0670.thumb.JPG.711be502be8a84e8b128be39cc4c8b96.JPG

After that disappointment I thought might clean up the interior. Also managed to lube the fuel filler cap lock as it became difficult to open. Thankfully that now opens with ease 🙂

There's different designs of those bulbs available.

Some have metal braided tape for heat sink on the back instead of an aluminium Spanish onion, The tape will fold very easy

Thanks @Lenny yeah I've seen those types of bulbs with the copper braiding. It's the Spanish onion design on mine which makes it too long to not fit in as the bottom is touching that metal part. If it did just fit in then I'm not sure if the heat might go onto that part.

I reckon the alluminium or copper would disperse the heat quite efficiently even while being in contact with the A/C housing as there alloy structure is a higher conductor of heat,

If the tape ones fit then there an alternative option.

Got the service bits which is 3 months overdue. Hopefully next week will get it done. Also bought the fan belt to change as the current one looks to be fraid. So Bosch aero wipers, Bosch rear wiper, oil filter, diesel filter, air filter and cabin filter.

So managed to get the service done today. Changed the bits I got yesterday.

Air filter was dirty and that's after little mileage DSC_0693.thumb.JPG.a7af3ee7fdae9a9d1348412d6f7623c8.JPG

Changed the fan belt and happy that was done. The old one was fraid and there was one bit with a deep cut. DSC_0694.thumb.JPG.7905fb7962b65e0163181968760bb0f1.JPGDSC_0695.thumb.JPG.c6468051ff6b5eecac7ea7a88e5555f4.JPGDSC_0696.thumb.JPG.44748e15ee706727d7a9a7174a273283.JPG

Looked in the engine and there was a small bit of diesel around the injectors which worried me. Two looked to have a little on the inlet pipe so managed to tighten them a little more. I hear the bolts loosen over time so best to check and two were able to move. After that started fitting the sub in. Will get onto that when it's done.

@Jonro2009 yes I've seen that 🤣. Tempts me but don't plan on getting anything after a bit after buying those fog lights. At the moment wiring in the sub. Need to see when me and dad will have time to continue it. Radio is out the car at the moment also. Happy New year to everyone 🎉🎊

Playing a Blinder 😅

I've just bought the cheapest pair of H7 from Halfords for €9 then they wanted €5 per bulb to fit 😂 no thanks I'll assume that position myself

€10 to fit two bulbs which cost €9

Yesterday fitted the underseat sub in the car. Looked at the wiring diagram for the stereo to wire it into the speaker output and the Ford mondeo uses the same one. This sub was fitted in my dad's previous car but couldn't fit it in his current car as there's no space under the seat. The remote wasn't working at first but luckily got it working by removing the plugs which connects the wires and wiring it together. Tested it and it vibrates the inside including the driver seats🤣
