Hi . I have a 2005 2.0tdci mondeo iv spent over a grand trying to fix this limpmode problem after buying all sorts of parts including a new turbo kit . The garage told me I have to take it to ford garage . They said it's lost 5volt feed to pin 2. Is this an easy fix or more money out my pocket.. thanks

Have you had coil pack failure? I've ECU's can also be taken out at the same time.

I take it the car runs but just in limpmode?

It could be anything from a bad relay to a blown ECU. I'm not very clued up about electrical gremlins. I assume pin 2 is for the glowplugs?

I'd be checking all the fuses, and relays (especially any marked "ECU/PCM/etc"). 5V sounds like a sensor power supply for something computer based rather than anything powering glow plugs (which I would imagine would run direct from battery voltage).
