bananacat
Hi I don't suppose anyone has a picture of where the common rail switch connector is located? Thanks.
TomsFocus
Which car/engine? 1.6 TDCi mk3? The rail is behind the engine so not immediately easy to access. If you're looking for the pressure sensor, I think it's nearside, will need to remove some stuff for access.
bananacat
Literally just found it. Had to remove battery and housing. One problem I can't work out how to undo the connector
TomsFocus
It's probably one of those where you have to slip a thin screwdriver down a small slit in the side, not 100% sure without a picture though.
bananacat
Yeah exactly that but it's too tight to get in there properly
TomsFocus
Ah ok, just need to try and find something thinner, there isn't another way to separate them without breaking.
bananacat
The clips is underneath right?
TomsFocus
Is it this sort of clip?
bananacat
Think so but can't get a proper look at it. That was the best pic I could get
TomsFocus
Your pic didn't show up first time, sorry. Edit - On a second look, I think it is similar to that one, the tab needs pulling away from the plug slightly with a thin screwdriver. Pushing the plug down first can make it a bit easier. And go steady, those clips are a bugger for snapping!
bananacat
Unfortunately that's just a reflection of the flash. Been trying for an hour to get this ***** thing off.
TomsFocus
Yeah, I realised that and edited the post above, not quickly enough though lol.
bananacat
Lol it's a pain. It's been fitted upside down so difficult to get the the bit to push down
TomsFocus
Not sure I can offer any more advice on that then lol...good luck!
bananacat
One more question does the tab need pushing in or lifting up do you think Thanks for your help
