monkeysmate
I have a Mk4 mondeo and the rear parking sensors appear to have developed a fault whereby it is (inconsistantly) beeping as soon as reverse gear is engaged, but when the car is not close to anything. It is very annoying! Are there any likely faults that I can try and solve myself? Can the sensors be removed and cleaned? The fault has come on this winter, so i wonder whether it's salt and grime etc? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
pragmatix
Likely to be road dirt, a quick squirt with clean water can be enough to clear them, other than that it's often a wiring fault
Willf1965
I had a similar problem with my mk3 mondeo st estate...it was the parking sensor module in the end.
