Ian F2
Once the car is up to temperature after about 8 - 10 mins the heating shuts off and only cold air is blown. After about another 20 mins some warmth comes back in but only for a minute or two. I have tried different fan speeds, air-con on & off, air recirculation on & off, all the different positions for the airflow but to no avail. Anyone had similar issues? Any clues? Luke4efc
It's usually air in the heater core. Sometimes low coolant levels stops it from working so check the reservoir too. Otherwise you might have to go through the process of bleeding the cooling system.
Ian F2
Luke - just after I posted I thought I better check the coolant level - sure enough it was below the minimum mark but there was still some in the reservoir so I don't think it needed bleeding. Topped it up, took it down the road for 20 mins - so far so good. Thanks for the input.
