Replacing airbags

Featured Replies

I’m replacing some deployed airbags in a mk7 fiesta tomorrow, do I need to get the BCM? Reprogrammed before I install the replacements? I’m just worried about installing the new airbags and them blowing as soon as I connect the battery.

Also can the airbag light be reset in forscan?

Cheers Daniel.

+Service function "Crash Flag Reset" for RCM module of:

Fiesta 2013 model year

So it should be able to.

I am pretty sure (99%+) the bags won't fire on an ignition on cycle long after the impact. But I think I might fit one, and stand aside when turning on the ignition anyway.
