2012 Titanium & Dashcam

Hi All,

Been lurking and searching the forum for a little while now but have yet to come up with a easy answer to this. I have a Nextbase 312GW dashcam and I am trying to decide on the best location and the best way to route the wire. Also would prefer to hardwire it compared to using the 12v outlet as that seems to be always on.

Any ideas, and pictures / diagrams (if possible), would be gratefully received.

Thanks in Advance.

Fuse 85 in the passenger footwell should be ignition switched live.

I ran my cable behind the door seals, just inside the top of the a pillar cover and then along the edge of the roof lining.

Hi, All installed, thanks for the advise worked a treat after I hooked up the earth wire to the bottom right screw that secures the glovebox.

P.S. Those fuses are a bugger to get out! Will have to keep a pair of needle nose pliers in the car just in case 1 goes pop.

There should be a tool for removing fuses in the cover of the engine bay fuse box. It should be made out of red plastic so you can't miss it. Check this video at about 1:25

AH, didn't look in the engine bay fuse box. I will check that out tomorrow as doing my fluid checks in the morning. Thanks for the hint.
