Debadge - Opinions?

1.0L Ecoboost ST-Line, thinking about debadging, don’t know weather to just remove the ‘Ecoboost’ badge or to get rid of the ‘Fiesta’ badge while I’m at it... I mocked up three pics of my car to make the decision easier:

I'd say it's personal preference. Like with my mk6.5 zetec s I think I looks good with the badges on. Might keep or remove the TDCI badge on the bottom right and change the S badge for a new one as that's faded.

Yh I do think yours would look quite good without the TDCI badge! Gives it a cleaner look

Personally I think debadging is a bit chavvy nowadays. It was sort of a trend in the early 2000's when fast and furious took over the car scene. Now it's sort of used to mask the identity of a car, so removing the badge that says it's a 1.2L on a corsa for example.

The S badge from factory is red but after many years that red starts to fade so may look cleaner replacing it for a new red one. Might also buy another S badge to put on the front bottom bumper grill.

Yeah might see about the TDCI badge. It won't make people see that its a dirty diesel zetec s

What you planning then on debadging? It's hard for me to decide.

I'd personally not, but if you do take both the badges off.

Just went with removing the ecoboost badge in the end, I think removing both would look like I’m trying to hide the fact it’s a fiesta:

No one's going to not recognise a fiesta because you removed the badge

Did you give it a good polish to remove the glue residue.

Would look cleaner without the fiesta badge, can't really hide that it's a fiesta,

Think that might have been a small dig at me lol.

That pin stripe looks awesome btw, makes it look like there's actually something there instead of a black hole.

Cheers mate! Yep, think it looks much better, the tape was only about £5!

going badge free makes it alot easier cleaning the boot as dirt and polish residue collects around the gaps inbetween the letters.

i go the whole hog and remove the fiesta badge as well , its not as if you need reminding what sort of vehicle you own is it ?

;-)

Could you send a link to where you bought the pinstripe?

Anybody have any suggestions on how to remove the stubborn glue left behind from the TDCi badge?

Lighter fluid or nail varnish remover works well.

Wax the area afterwards to stop the paintwork looking dull.
