Fixed something!

Had a minor problem with my 1.6. Pushing the clutch to change gear, quite often the revs would shoot up. Tried cleaning the throttle body which was a bit dirty, but that didn't fix it.

Eventually had sudden inspiration to check the clutch pedal switch. Took it off and refitted with the pedal fully released and it fixed it! I think there is some type of adjustment which is set when you rotate it into place. Apparently this was out so the PCM didn't know the clutch had been pressed. Presumably there's a gearshift ignition cut which controls the revs.
