gibbo1471
Morning all, I am going to give my car a full service at the weekend including changing the anti freeze and thought that I might as well change the thermostat at the same time as it's done 93000 miles. I was looking at the flange that you unscrew the 3 bolts to get to the thermostat am I correct thinking that if I take this off the only gasket I need is a new one that comes with the thermostat a round one, or is there one that sits in the flange Thank you for your time
stef123
It’s just a rubber seal on the thermostat, nothing else to worry about.
gibbo1471
Hi thanks for that also is there a drain plug at the bottom of the radiator to drain antifreeze out or which is the best way thank you
stef123
I always pull the bottom hose, I’ve seen the drain plugs on radiators snap or cause issues sealing again.
