2010 Locking Wheel Nut

Is there an easy way to try and remove them sans key?

Tyre is ruined and need to fit a spare but nut key is missing, can't drive the car until I can get the lock nut off!

Depends on style of locking nut and how much clearence around it.

sometimes you can hammer a socket out of a socket set onto it if you can find one of suitable size.

you can buy sockets made for this

but these are still dependant on the clearance around the nut

It's the standard alloys and the factory nut, but I'm concerned it has a spinning collar on it...

if it has a spinning collar on it I don't know what's best to do. I would probably try welding a nut on it if it was me but that's easy for me to say as I have a MIG welder. of course that would not be easy if it is in a deep recess.

are you in AA/RAC? they might have some clever way of doing it
