Pulling problem, please help?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My fiesta is pulling to the right when accelerating, is this an issue if so what?

Thanks

Shaun

Yep, defo an issue, Obviously something steering related, I'd get someone to look at the tracking (about £40)

Could it possibly be a soft tyre?

Not clear as to what model Fiesta you have or how long you've had the car - have you just got it and found the problem or have you had it a while and the problem just developed recently.

You mention the problem occurring under acceleration, not uncommon for fwd cars to pull to one side under very hard acceleration but usually affects the more powerful cars driven hard

As Bobr suggests, worth checking simple things like tyre pressures first, look for uneven tread wear while you're at it which might indicate the need to get your suspension checked out, as suggested by Ticktock.

Other odd things I've experienced causing similar issues are loose wheel bolts (not tightened properly during dealer service!), and a very slightly distorted alloy wheel.

Hi they are new tires and have been checked for alignment, mine is a mk 7 2011. Pressure are all at 32psi. Could it be the issue i have attached for the advisory?

Also, i don't do hard acceleration just general speeding up on fifth gear for example.

Can't access your file from my current device unfortunately - can you post a summary? Also, did the problem start after you had new tyres or was it there before?

I have pulling problems but that's only to be expected now I'm in my 80s

Have you tried showing 'em your bus pass and senior rail card, works for me!😀
