MOT FAIL WTH A MONTH LEFT

What is the legal implications ?  Car has failed on ball joint, , , i have a month left  before it expires,  does the current fail  invalidate  the month i still have left, ??

Yes.
A failed mot is a failed mot.
You must get it sorted and retested before you can legally drive the vehicle again.
