D13 HPD 95 Posted August 17, 2018 Author Share Posted August 17, 2018 We tried to carbon skin them, but they delaminated, and because of the fan spray inside them and being heated we couldn’t make a real carbon mould for them as they are just to small 😕 a proper aerospace carbon company could do it but would cost a hell of a lot of money to do so we just carbon dipped them instead nearly the same effect Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So started out with a simple change the pedal covers for some nice shiny ones like the good old 2000’s max power days that went well and looks good I think adds a nice touch then this started, changing the header tank and replacing a coolant hose which has some damage so stripping it out alot of tools about the place as per new radium tank and coolant hose installed ..... so I thought turns out the bottom connection has a few damaged threads ( unsure how it’s brand new ) and caused all the coolant in the tank to be released on my driveway excellent this was the cause -.- so mishimoto tank back in, luckily I have coolant in the shed (which I now need to get more off) went to fit the summit front upper brace as well with the radium tank and it doesn’t fit that header tank either, so I’ve ordered a new stock plastic header tank from Ford £22 so I can fit the summit brace, and then I found out today Auto Specsalists are being out their own header tank which will allow you to fit the brace as well brilliant -.- all this faffing around and buying two different aftermarket tanks for nothing o ans I lost my stock tank somehow so I had to buy a new one -.- great that’s enough for today I think hopefully it goes better from now on!
