I’m still waiting for Ford to sort out the recall but not concerned as mine is running perfectly 🤞 Cheers for comments guys, Phil the original engine went bang and cylinder 3 and 4 cracked, so a new engine was fitted late June 17 under warranty 11k in parts without labour all receipts present for the work, in just waiting on confirmation the C type head gasket was the one fitted but I know a way of checking without taking the head off so I need to do that but she’s runs perfectly not dropped oil or coolant ever since engine was fitted Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My dealer has one with a blown head in the pound waiting for parts. They'd tested it and it was fine then two weeks later the dreaded white smoke appeared. D13 HPD 95 Posted April 20, 2018 Author Share Posted April 20, 2018 Not many pictures but an update non the less so stage 1 just wasn’t fast enough, so I got my hands on a mishimoto intake system, airtec intercooler both in satin black, a KMS sports cat to match my KMS tornado cat back, these are being fitted and then a new maxd 2+ map installed hoping for 420/430 bhp 600nm hehe also some nice Kuro carbon parts ready to install but more are on the way just waiting for delivery and time to complete all the mods now And some mountune custom rs plates hehe 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

D13 HPD 95 Posted April 21, 2018 Author Share Posted April 21, 2018 Everything is real carbon I don’t dare post the cost lol, and yh I know I said about no more than stage 1 but....... the stock intercooler couldn’t keep temps down so had to change that for ‘safety’ Reasons and then the sports cat was more or less given to me from KMS as an addition to the already custom cat back, and then I happened to find a brand new mishimoto intake for sale on eBay for nearly 50% off retail which all meant stage 2 map is avalible as hardware is there so it was all by accident and for safety reason honest 😂😂😂 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The plates are custom made by Mountune to fit the RS bumper perfectly :) and come with a Mountune price tag lol also got the carbon engine bay goodies on just need a proper logo on the engine cover now and to slowly make my way through fitting all the parts lol A proper 3mm Ali under tray is on it way to me to get rid of the shocking fabric one which did this to my last night.... Just can’t seem to find one suitable, I have an auto and it really needs something over the bare plastic (have you seen any that aren’t badged for the RS?) thought I would ask a couple of questions just for the fun of it. After putting all that time and effort into the ST-2 do you ever miss it? Is there anything that was on there that you miss on the RS, just little styling things that were personal to you? And, what do you think about the wing mirrors on the focus? I think they let the car down (all across the range), they look a bit cheaper than they should be. The foot rest yh I’m sure I’ve seen them about with no logos on them, have a google and search of eBay facebook do I miss it, I do and I don’t, the attention the car brought was nice sometimes it stood out never blended in, the ride and handling mods made it more planted to drive than the RS is currently... but the power of the RS and the awd system makes up for any doubts over missing the ST i don’t think is our anything from the ST into the RS now tbh different cars and different looks I have to say I quite like the focus wing mirrors just adds enough poke to help with the stance look I’d say I’ve done a few more bits yesterday and possibly some more to add today, shark fin arial as mentioned new pcv plate, you can see the stock ones compared to new one and how much difference there is on the oil separation channels Went to fit both the manifold and throttle body spacers to fine the extra ports are sent with no ptfe type to seal them so couldn’t fit them, but looking at possible new inlet manifold anyway so maybe become not required also the carbon parts, long story behind it but short of it is, I have sent them back to get a refund, so installed the front mountune plate and new RS badge and also got some new Ford gel badges for the time being until I can get custom replacement badges Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was gutted about the carbon bits but have made up for it with buying new alloys ;) so I’m ok haha, if I got the carbon bits on the car I would of had to get more and more carbon which is dam expensive and what with saving for a house it’s not good lol new wheels but mine are in semi gloss black, there are only 2 sets of this Rays 57xtreme wheels for ford fotment in the UK and I have one of them!! and new KMS volcanic tips Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
