  • MK1 Kuga Headlight levelling motors

Hi everyone can anyone tell me if they have managed to replace the dipped headlight levelling motors only on a 2012 Kuga, rather than changing the complete linkage assembly on each headlight as these cost the best part of £300.

2006 1.4 Fiesta on bike carbs

So, you may or may not have see n my mini build thread on here a while back. Not posted for a while as i have been having a few issues with the bike carb conversion. Anyway, today i took it to a specialist who managed to get the carbs jetted correctly and i have to say i'm very pleased. He ran it up pn his rollers and gave it a full 3d mapping and lowe and behold it came out at a very surprising 106bhp, which is 26bhp over standard with nothing but the Nodiz igniton system, a cat

Vibration/humming when heating is turned up.

Hi all hope someone can help,  I have a 62plate mk3 focus ecoboost. Got in it tonight and windows was steamed up so went to turn the heating up to help reduce the condensation, once I turned it onto 3 there was vibrating and humming. Soon as I put it back onto 2 it stopped.  Had a Google and it doesn't bring anything up.    Hoping it's something easy to rectify.    Any and all help is appreciated! Thanks 😘

Clutch engages at very top of pedal travel

I have never owned  or even driven a fiesta before but just bought a 2011 1.25 zetec. My worry is that the clutch bites at the very top of the pedal stroke, I understand that the clutch actuator is hydraulic but is this normal ? clutch does not appear to be slipping , and car will stall if i try to pull away with handbrake full on ..... but is this clutch bite position a sign that the clutch is on its way out? I would welcome any feedback to put my mind at rest on this Thanks !

Diesel fuel air lock or High pressure pump fault ?

REAL HEADACHE !  My FORD SMAX mark 1  has the 1.8 TDCI Lynx engine . After replacing fuel filter , I thought I removed all the air locks , but NOT sure now ! As it cranks nice and fast with a new starter and new battery but NOT firing !! Tried filling fuel filter with fresh fuel and re.bleeding to no avail .  Been told it may be the  in tank lift pump at the back or the high pressure pump fault ? or the High PRESSURE sensor on the common rail ??  Where am I here ? I feel lost when

I’ve done just that , put an 18mm belt on to replace the 16mm belt as Ford told me the 16mm was the wrong one fitted at the factory & should be an 18mm according to their parts catalogue so upgraded it to its default size . That 16mm is for fiestas or some focuses, not for C-Max according to Ford  i can only guess the 16mm was fitted due to the 18mm being out if supply so the factory just went ahead with the 16 to keep production demand going ?  And yes I did replace the oil pump belt , that only comes in one size fits all so no issues there . i would have been happy to replace the 16 with a 16 but as it’s such a mamouth task to go through with , the 18 was a no brainier for longer lasting & at least I can sleep better knowing I’ve got the proper size belt installed .

Thanks for your reply Danny. I have not owned a ford for 20 years and have always driven a Volkswagon Golf up to now  so this is new territory for me , but in the past i have always thought a clutch engaging at the top of its pedal travel  to been a sign its on its way out, but maybe a different manufacture engineers the set up/ operation differently. Thanks again

No, I was looking at her pulling out of the goods loop. Maybe 600 tons all up weight? Boiler at max pressure by the look of the steam plume, and I did not see any wheelslip. It is good to see a few steam loco's still running on the mainline, which is where those big, powerful 4-6-2s belong, of course. The Flying Scotsman always looked a bit out of place on the Swanage Railway! Which was then only Norden to Swanage.
