The Audi ones only dim because they're so close to the indicators (in the same Headlight unit). Can't remember if its a legal requirement for DRLs or just a recommendation, but if the DRL and other light sources are more than a couple of inches apart, dimming isn't an issue.

The industry uses either Glass or Cap guides to value cars.
For an 09 plate with your stats:
Trade prices (what a dealer would give you for one):
CAP sees it at 7300 (clean)
GLASS sees it at 7700 (clean)
Retail prices (what you could buy one for from a dealer):
CAP sees it at 8550
GLASS sees it at 8875
Those are based on the Nov 2011 guides.
Find out which guide your dealer uses before PXing it - most Ford dealers use CAP tho.
Bear in mind most salesmen get commission as a percentage they can get the PX below guide AND the sale above guide.
