  3. After a minor hitch with them flickering last night when spliced into the sidelights, tonight I spliced them into the dipped beam instead and happy days they are functioning as they should so now I have DRL's fitted and up n running This is with the full brightness/headlights off (flash on camera turned on) 50% brightness/headlights on I know they might not be to everyones taste but I think they have turned out pretty good and for a total cost of about 20quid the result is sweet and very very easy to install so I am happy with them. I was originally thinking of wiring in some philips drl strips that have 4 leds in each which would of cost about 60 quid for the complete kit. I gathered up separate parts for about 20quid and now each headlight has 72 leds in them and the effect is a lot better than the philips I was gonna go for

  5. Had a successful ish night cracking out a couple of small mods I finally sussed out the correct way of wiring the rear footwell lighting into the main courtesy light so now they are fully up n running in sync with the rest of the interior lighting I swapped the puddle lights in the wing mirrors to a nice clean white led And I just about finally managed to swap one of the fog lights for a blue coated bulb Can see from the throw of the light on the ground that the result is a lot cleaner whiter light than the original Was a right faff getting to the 2 screws holding the fog housing in and some how even more of a faff trying to reinstall the fog housing once I'd swapped the bulb and I was getting fed up of trying to do it in the dark by torch light so I abandoned it for now and will hopefully do the driverside tomorrow

  6. Hi guys, After owning a few performance cars... Focus ST, Mondeo Titanium X Sport 2.2TDCI and lastly a Skoda Octavia TDI VRS (All heavily modded by the time I finished with them) I now am the proud owner of an ST220 Estate... Picked up my ST220 after looking at quite a few dogs described as perfect condition... yeah right! Finally found one in Sudbury... only 100 miles away. Really impressed with condition. Yes it has a few blebs and the wheels need refurbing. But for the price we agreed, mileage, service history etc etc I am well please. Had to wait for 4 weeks for the V5 to come back from DVLA as previous owner had a private plate... sent V5 off but forgot to sign it!! Its a 53 plate with 75k miles on it. FSH. Needs a few bits doing... Spoiler is cracked, needs replacing. Found a slightly different one on Flea-Bay... will need prepping and spraying. Boot handle needs a respray too. Wheels need a refurb... Gear gator needs replacing... Grubby buttons need switching out... Switched out buttons, changed gear gator, swapped perished aerial, debadged, washed and waxed... Tidied steering wheel inserts...

  9. I've fixed the problem. Simply hold the power button in for 10-15 seconds the headunit will power off and on a few times this is like a memory reboot. Then plug in your phone, ipod or tablet ect in to the Aux port and it should be back up and running

Hopefully it helps. It could be a conflict of drivers also causing your issue. Sometimes installing it alone isn't enough you need to point the device manually to it

JP exhaust ordered and being made, ASBO brakes being stripped and powdercoated, new spoiler on order, wheel refurb and a few minor bits in the next few weeks. Later... Lows, wheels and engine mods. 26. Went for the JL C3-650 myself you may like to view my build thread from pafe 50 onwards its all about car audio installation see link: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/41443-taking-oval-to-blue-horizon-lennys-build-thread-2010-2015/page-75Now on page 77. You would need a two channel stereo amp And A single channel mono suggest a JX300/1 Class D mono You can run a single 0AWG cable from battery to boot, then a splitter in to two 4AWG feeding to each amp, Recommend vibe "FlatBass" audio cable for mono amp to sub GingerFlame is a fellow Mk6 owner whom has recently done an audio install aswell may be of interest to view his build too Link: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/63471-mk6-fiesta-flame-14-build-log-was-fiesta-mk6-5-door-custom-sub/

  28. £400 is cheaper than the cost of the car when the belt snaps wrecking the engine and a lot less than the cost of a new car on top when it does why dont you negotiate a deal with the seller since the belt is needing done even 100-150 off is better than nothing

  29. Thanks lads I am really pleased with it after the right faff ive had over the last week to fit it. The sunglasses holder looks messy in places where ive had to cut bits away to accomodate the monitor so that it can lay flat but it does the job sufficiently. I will look at tidying it up later on. I'd originally bought a 5" monitor to fit there but I dont think the sunglasses holder would accomodate the size of it so I had to drop down to a 4.3 instead. Havent really spent anything on the mondeo yet, nowhere near as the focus anyway as funds have been very restricted the last month or so.

  30. Next mod is finally out of the way.. Its taken a few days of faffing about in the dark and a lot of swearing but I finally have a reverse parking camera in the mondeo. Has really been doing my nut in not having one and will make reversing into a space so much easier so this is why its probably gonna be the most practical mod I'll do I'll take a photo of the actual camera tomorrow but this is what I've come up with for the monitor Didnt want an external monitor visible anywhere in the car and didnt fancy the idea of a clip on rear view mirror monitor either so tonight now all the wiring was finally in place I set about butchering the sunglasses holder with a junior hacksaw and a stanley kinfe This was the result I think it is pretty nifty and is discreetly hidden away until it is required and then I simply give it a gentle push and it rotates to reveal the screen The picture quality is quite good too considering this is the night vision Really pleased with it now it is finally complete and the monitor also has a second video input so something I may do in future is fit a front facing camera somewhere and run the video feed for that to it also Comments welcome

  32. go for the titanium x for the gadgets then if possible, source and fit the zs bodykit later yourself would be a lot easier to get a car with the gadgets and fit a body kit to it than buy a car with the body kit and attempt wiring in the gadgets

  33. Nice one dude I really need to do some bigger mods, only problem is due to the spec most of it has already been done for me :( Still got me reverse camera I need to wire in And waiting for some decent weather so I can finally start stealthifying the exterior by spraying all the trims black

  37. Managed to get the rest of the adhesive off. Decided to leave the TITAN on Took a few more photos just because it's a sexy car. Please excuse the dirt, been heavy rain most days and not been able to get him valeted. Wired in my new boot lights the other night Please excuse the amount of crap in the boot, working funny nightshift hours doesnt leave much time to tidy it. Also looking into getting the full size spare wheel kit I was in the process of starting to fit my reverse parking camera tonight but the heavy rain started again and I had to abort

  41. Next small ish mod turned up today, heko wind deflectors Please excuse how dirty the poor car is, it snowed and has done nothing but rain since so haven't been able to get him valeted I also partially debadged the rear, I completely removed the mondeo letters as well as the tdci badge, but for now I have left the titan x. I am having trouble removing the rest of the adhesive though All of the adhesive from the mondeo letters and the tdci badge came off cleanly but the sticky stuff under the ium is refusing to come off. Can anyone advise on the best stuff to use? Been using wd40 but it isnt doing to good

  43. couple more diddy mods carried out as theres not really any big mods i can do right now with all the snow n frost on the poor car transferred over the dmb gel overlays from the focus to the mondeo's steering wheel n rear badge started swapping the vanity lights from the dingey yellow to a nice bright white led pad i also decided to butcher a hole in the blanking plate where the power button would of went on a lhd vehicle n fit a usb port doesnt look too ugly i dont think. one of the little features i loved on the focus was the storage in the top of the dash, i'd cut a hole in the bottom of that and installed the usb port there so that i could plug me satnav in n have all the wire tidied away in the storage pocket so that no wires are trailing down the dash around the dash into the garage door storage infront of the gear leaver its really annoyed me the mondeo lacking this storage on top of the dash, so as a compromise i fitted the usb in the blanking plate. it's easily reversed should it need to be. this way i can plug my satnav in as close to the top of the dash as possible n i intend to cut off the excess usb wire of the satnav and solder it back together to create a stubby wire so that it isnt long n trailing over the dash and simply only needs to be long enough to reach the usb
