  1. Glow plug circuit fuse, 60amp. I would check the wiring at the conector that goes to the glow plugs , known to melt and catch fire so could be high resistance causing fuse to melt and not blow, or relay staying on keeping glow plugs drawing current.

  6. Bulbs should always be replaced in pairs, When one blows; the other is never far behind. I recommend osram NightBreaker H7 dipped beam And Osram NightBreaker H1 for high beam He see dipped beam And high beam are separate bulbs on the focus

  7. Sidelights are the dim little lights Dipped beam lights are the ones most commonly used High/full beams are the bright ones I'd be inclined to say the bulbs have blown. It isn't uncommon for them to go in pairs. Take them out and have a look at the filament. Replacement bulbs can be bought for a couple of quid a piece. (Or about £15 for a pair of Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited lol)

  8. Times have changed . . . I never charged more than £20 per hour . . :( It'll be the best investment for life that you'll ever make, & worked out over a lifetime of driving is as cheap as chips. Try & book 2 hour lessons as you'll learn & retain more knowledge than if you book one hour lessons :)

  9. Yes they do, the Ctek 5.0 will charge batteries between 1.2-110Ah and maintain batteries upto 160Ah. You can get a 5.0 for about £60. The next model up, the 7.0 charges batteries up to 150Ah and maintains up to 225Ah. It can also be used as a 12v power source. It's around £100. Ctek charges can be used on all type of 12v car and leisure batteries.

  10. Try tayna batteries. They do next day delivery and I got a higher capacity varta silver calcium battery with 5 years warranty for 45 quid. Best thing to do is to measure your old battery (w, h and d) then check their website for something similar. The only thing to be wary of is whether you need a silver calcium type as the alternator may over voltage a 'normal' lead acid type. They should be able to advise this, though. Sent from my XT1039

  13. I'm quite happy without any children, most likely for my whole life. Can't stand them... And if that sounds harsh, then I'll openly say that when I was a child I was one of those irritating children I dislike, which is why I know I wouldn't want to inflict that on myself.

  14. I can highly recommend the Ctek range of chargers. I have a few of them now for doing all sorts. One of them however is always used on my blade, whenever the bike has been out and put back in the shed i connect the charger and forget about it. its a 0.8A charger and monitors/maintains as it needs to. Meaning no more battery problems. its very quick to connect, it comes with all the neccessary leads too.

  16. I just go a colour coded spoiler for my focus but the yard i got it from decided it would be a good idea to write all of the spoilers details on in permanent marker. I got a bit off with aftershave (alcohol) but wasn't too sure if its a good idea to keep using it. Any suggestions???

  17. As I said, it was just something I thought I had heard, but maybe not. I know of someone in Canada who had footage of a collision and the police officer said to him that he knew what the footage meant but legally could not take it into account.

  23. here it is: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171231720467 I was going for pioneer myself aswell but I prefer the Connects2 version because it looks factory utilising a part of the car that's already there and shows Ford how they could have done it

  27. Hello, Last week my right headlight stopped working but the side light was still fine. Today the other one has gone so all I have is side lights, or whatever the lower power ones are called. If I flash someone I still get the bright light to flash them with though. Does this suggest a wiring problem or a fuse maybe? Cheers for any help.

  30. happy to help, For optimum results I recommend having headlight alignment done after bulb change, Bulbs can be fitted upside down; I'm guilty of this myself was picked up by garage on alignment. Spring coil inside bulb should be on bottom when fitting 😕 I purchase osram on eBay and bring to local garage for fitting and alignment 👍

  35. I haven't driven for 9 weeks, and am getting seriously bored! I broke my collar bone in September wrestling a lion (actually I fell off a pavement-sober!) The bone was poking up into the skin, so after an operation, a titanium plate and some hefty physio sessions, I'm still not ready to get behind the wheel. Anyone else been out of action for this long for a similiar thing? By the way, I drive for a living, so have had 9 weeks off - (paid thankfully!) I want to drive again!!!!

  38. Do not install a Lead Acid Battery on this Car It may lead to charging problems, The car has a smart charge alternator system Calcium Batterys are reccomended. Jamie p.s 14/15 years is MEGA good for a car battery (if its the orignal) Bosch Batteries are good as are Yuasa (from personal experiance) If you become a club supporter you get a %15 halfords discount card in your membership pack which can be used against the price of a new battery

  39. Josh wrapped his in gloss black, I purchased mine from Ford in primer grey ready for painting was 28GBP three years ago, I left it in body shop along with grills and plastic covers from engine bay to be colour coded as I can't spray atall I'm useless at it. Fitted it myself, Chrome lip isint real chrome neither; It's plastic dipped, Mine snapped in three when removing to fit the painted one.

  40. I've two girls aged 6 & 8 they fight with each other over fashion and everything, rat each other out then after crying screaming at each other they then come crying to us, So you get to hear it all twice, 6 year old is going to a friend's birthday party today, Had to go to special toy shop for present, And today is non stop talking about party and telling the 8yr old that she's not invited only she's invited cos she's her best friend and we're going to have cake and I might spill it on my dress but that's ok cos it's my dress that I'm wearing to my friends party. 😥 I'm reaching for the drinks cabinet 😩 I've a little lad then one year old last week, He hardly ever cries unlike the girls he's way more relaxed.

  41. Really like this and you seem to be making a superb job of it. I was thinking about it lying in bed last night. I want to rip my fascia off on my radio anyway so might get it all done at one. There is a company in Birmingham that do the whole lot for £80 including speedo. I'm tempted. Just worried doing the speedo myself and boning it.

  42. The Led conversion came out rather well, Heater panel (Just need to look at the recirc button LED & also try and find a plain diffuser) The wife quite like LED Panel being Purple tho :P But I would like to find a plain diffuser Head lamp switch (colour coded the Fog light buttons) The wife helps when I ask her too she is good like that and not worried about getting her hands dirty. Next on the list is window switches (just need to order some Led's for them) Steering wheel buttons (need work out how they come off.) and to make a start on the painting she picked Ford Mercury Grey as it's close to the dash colour.

  43. The third brake light on the mk 2 and 2.5 are the same so anything listed 2004 to early 2011 will fit (except Zetec s and ST ones). I can vouch for the light that John has linked to, had one on my MK2 and very nice bit of kit and a direct fit with no wiring modifications required.

  44. "Electric exterior mirrors have a heating element that will defrost or demist the mirror glass. They will switch on automatically when you switch the heated rear window on" That's straight from the owners manual. I've had a quick look on the Ford website and given the entry level Studio has 'Electrically-operated and heated door mirrors with side indicators' it seems logical the Zetec S will have them also.

  46. Well I intended on picking up an ST-2 around March next year and thought I'd put my order in around now for it, seeing when I last asked there was quite the wait on a build. Well that turned into January when I popped along to Ford 2 weeks ago where there was a few that could be ordered in already being built for a January delivery, so I thought great well a month or two ahead is nothing to complain. I got a call last week as I'd asked for a test drive, and 7 of them had arrived all at once. 7 ST-3 models all in spirit blue. Seeing they were all being snapped up the salesman put my name on one and so now I'm getting it on Monday. Little bit quicker than I'd intended. So I'll be getting a Spirit Blue ST-3 next week with all extra's minus the spare wheel as it's pointless me getting it as I have the kit already, though I've never used it in my ZS. So I'll be moving from a 1.6 TDCi Zetec S which my dad's going to use for a while to a nice shiny ST :P Will get some pictures when I can, probably going to keep it largely standard as I really can't be bothered with modifications, may pick up the Mountune MP215 kit at some point but that'll be the most I bother with. Possibly some 5000K HID's or OSRAM Nightbreakers depending on how I feel at the time and that'll do just fine!

  47. I quite like them, they just look a little different to the previous 2 versions with the LED's. There's a few little bits and pieces that are a little different on the 2016 version. There's 7 Blue ST3's at the dealer I'm getting my car from :P
