  1. I like getting a go in our RS today and then spotting two MK2’s last night and today 😁👍🏻.

  3. I do like Shopping around for the bargains and saving a few quid aswell as some time today, Managed to purchase Unibond White Tec expanding foam locally for €8 per can which saved my two hours time aswell as Diesel as I didn't have to drive to B&Q then home again where its sold for €11 per can, which is still cheap compared to my nearest DIY store which is selling for €15 per can. Picked them up at a place much the same as poundland, Then purchased the Self tapping screws and Dewalt Philips heads with free drill driver for €10.50 at my nearest DIY shop, gloves then got from work for free. Overall spend €66.50 Plan now is to remove the existing laminate flooring from the girls bedroom tomorrow morning; then screw down the chip board floor beneath as it creaks in spots, I'll then fill around the floor beams and edge of neighbouring wall with the unibond foam; because it's a corresponding wall with next door neighbour and when there cooking chips we can smell the fryer in the bedroom, so theres air passing through at some point; I suspect in around the wooden beams which support the upstairs floor, I'll seal it all tomorrow after removing the laminate in preparation for the replacement semi solid light oak, but I'm done for today off to bed now; been up since 15:00 yesterday and working last night, Off now until Tuesday 🙆‍♂️

  4. Mobile phones and internet services are destroying physical interaction and the art of communication; breaking down society Even electronic payslip allows room for a two tier pay grade system among workers as each logs in to view rather than all opening a sheet of paper simultaneously

  7. Lol I just had the weirdest dream. Dreamed that @TomsFocus @Zico and @Lenny (my interpretation of you guys 😂) came to my house in a old style Ford only found in America to my house. I went with them to some place and worried that I hadn't had breakfast yet and my mum getting angry I went out without eating. I remember asking Lenny can we get all lunch 😂.

  11. Car seat fabric is always a cover. It's just foam underneath (like a car sponge), there's not another cloth cover under there. I've replaced a few myself over the years, they're usually held on with hog rings like staples in the hidden parts of the seat. It's because it's a 3 door car. The belt sits across the edge of the seat because the B pillar is so far back. The only way to avoid this is to either grow longer legs and move the seat back, or put on so much weight your chest holds the belt off of the bolster... Not sure either of those is practical though!! Keeping the bolster soft and supple with leather conditioner is probably the best compromise. I'm interested in your interpretation of us now... I'm glad it's not just me that has weird dreams though...lately I keep dreaming that I've lost my shoes in random places like Tesco and a village hall... I only realise once I'm outside and then can't find them... I have no idea what that's supposed to mean!!

  12. Our kids got creative with some beach stones yesterday; my favourite is the rock concert 😂 I also like finally getting back to doing some home improvements, I've not gotten near the house since before Christmas due to family events needing to be paid for; but now there all of of the way; I'll be replacing the floor in the kids bedroom aswell as fitting a new bunk bed and wardrobe, across the next three weeks and I'll update the relevant thread those interested.

  16. @Zico I'm wondering if I should get those bulbs 😂. I just wonder though if it produces a red light rather than white. It looks to have the same design as the performance indicators so must be really bright. At least with these you can blind people with your brake light and indicators when your slowing down to turn into your house road. I'm just wondering if I saw @Jethro_Tull also in the dream 🤣.

  17. you can get good fuel economy in town from a 1.0 EcoBoost if driven "correctly" first, you can have eco or boost but not both at the same time you must pick one. if you pick eco you need to do the following to get best mpg accelerate gently keeping rpm low change up at 1800 rpm and down at 1200rpm try not to use the brakes slow gradually using a trailing throttle switch off non-essential accessories like ac heated screen etc try not to stop at every red light move to a trailing throttle early and give it time to turn green before you get there same is true for any other possible hold up. anticipate what could happen up ahead and give any potential hold up time to clear controversial one this but i believe super unleaded gives better mpg in the EcoBoost after flicking back and forth a few times between Tesco standard and momentum it costs around 4% more but gives around 8% better fuel economy. using the above I get around 400 miles from a tank on short town driving (43mpg approx) and 550 miles from a tank of long cross country journies (59mpg approx)

  18. I did consider calling it through but didn't think that 999 was quite appropriate for this occasion. 101 would have probably been a better option but unfortunately the last time I called 101 it took over 15 minutes to get through. From where we were, the Domino's driver would have driven past the police station (or crawled past in rush hour traffic) to get back round to the store a few minutes up the road. This is the view the dashcam captured though.

  20. As per @TomsFocus post, I'm also intrigued to hear your interpretation of us 🤔. Oh and I also tend to skip breakfast but only ever got told off for not eating lunch when working at my dad's restaurant back in the day. Had my ST-3 for over 32,200 miles now so I can check the leather around my seat and let you know if I spot anything. It's also a pure coincidence that I bought some Auto Glym leather cleaner and balm which arrived today. There are some dirty marks along the sides of the seats which I wanted to clean while I noticed. Unfortunately I've not had a really good dream for a while now 😞. I occasionally have a dream where I'm very tiny and getting caught up in a carpet or something similar that is being rolled up. No idea what that means . Stop tempting me!! Thankfully the brake lights are still perfect from my purchase last year, even got to use the LED fog light in anger recently! I did briefly glance at the LED H7 dipped beam after I got the AB email today. The 10% Easter sale code doesn't save you much (still almost £60 with delivery) and the ash12 code is still better for 12% off.

  23. Get yourself Koch chemie fse. That removes the water spots and adds gloss. Sadly no matter how careful you are ford use such soft paint that it's easy to scratch. The wing is treated with fse and the door isn't.

  25. Cheers mate, I was surprised myself to see the DeWalt Philips head box for €5.50 and the unibond WhiteTec foam is my particular favourite type because its four times thicker than regular foam meaning it dries out like polystyrene; theres no bubbles forming inside the swell meaning its consistent inside when you slice it, theres no empty gaps inside. I've just gotta keep them cold now until I use them tomorrow; I've found from experience that theres not as much comes out if they have been stored in a warm room for even two days, they need to be kept cold for optimum output or expansion.

  27. That's interesting - my only other experience of leather seats is in my Lotus. The leather is actually glued to those and when I had them re-trimmed I had to send the whole seats back to the factory. I wonder if Ford sell the ST half-leather seat covers individually if I ever wanted to replace one in the future? I can't find them online but they clearly have a part number so you might be able to get them. I should have been more specific - I was talking about the belt on your trousers, not the seat belt.

  31. Removing wheels for an oil change is a new one on me! As above, sounds like tracking is out. If it's a mk2, its also worth checking the wishbone bushes, common fault and when they wear it allows the wheels to points outwards slightly while cruising which wears off the tyre insides. Don't move them to the back now. You just end up with uneven wear on all tyres which causes a horrific noise...made that mistake myself lol.

  32. Ha ha ha ha, when I first installed the rainsensor it was raining and because of that it started to wipe when i tested it in the intermittent position and never stopped before switcing it off :-) I just tested it today splashing some water onto the windshield with the sun shining and there it goes 😉 Thx for your help everyone and happy Easter :-)

  33. Upgrading from Sync 2 to 3 seems easiest. The screen and the electronic module (APIM) are changed and there’s a new USB socket if you want to use apple play. Some reconfiguration in Forscan May be required. This forum has some discussion on it, but there’s likely to be more on Focus forums elsewhere. https://www.fiestafaction.com/forums/#/topics/54466

  34. Your car ( and most 2.5s) look timeless, Ford really broke the mold when they designed it, not looking to replace mine for another 6 years hopefully. I like to keep my cars for around 9 to 10 years, that way I'm getting the benefits of what I've spent on them. I'm around halfway through my ownership atm, so my next purchase should be a car that's been built this year, haven't seen anything that has wowed me atm.

  40. To be fair I never posted a picture of my Fiesta in over 3 years I owned it lol. Anyway I managed to get the ash tray out today (it's a 10 minute job really) and fixed the door latch. The piece of plastic had just popped out, so just re-fitted it and jobs a goodun. I've looked into the white fog light to make it match with the other side, however is a bit too much of a subtle change for me atm. But yes, the front grille and rear diffuser is on my list of things to spruce up.

  42. Yeah Tom, to be honest I would prefer a Zetec S exterior with a Titanium interior, best of both worlds then. That's basically how the Mondeos are that I was thinking of, Titanium X pack with 19's and bodykit. I've scoured the net and can't find another X-Trail the same spec and price as the one I pictured above, typical, get finances sorted and then can't find a car!

  43. You shouldn't need a different stalk , works on the intermittent position , and variable sensitivity on the intermittent middle scrolling wheel.

  44. Mine has a similar problem. Just last Monday I got an "ACC unavailable" message on the display and the buttons didn't work. It was only when I went round a roundabout on full lock that the buttons started working again. I suspect that there is a loose connection somewhere. The cruise control will disengage if the CAN bus loses contact with the buttons.

  45. Had my oil and filter change done today by my friendly Ford mechanic for a bargain £120 and it transformed the box it is so smooth now it is like new and he said the old oil was in good condition not black like some of the oil changes they do. Money well spent me thinks. ☺

  46. I seem to recall there was a detailed explanation somewhere on here. Confusion arises as some sources count a thorough facelift as a new model, some don't. Anyway, for the purposes of this forum the 1.0 ecoboost was found in the Mk 7 facelift, usually referred to here as a Mk 7.5.

  47. The dreams which emotionally upset me is the ones where I see the girl I used to like. Uni life I don't really enjoy. Messaged my friend a few days ago asking how things are going and have no reply back 😒. Do kinda need friends in school so you have someone to ask help for. Before uni people were a lot more friendly and social.
