  1. I come across a Borg and Beck kit one, both side of the friction plate had ‘gearbox side’. Enough said.

  3. They're a doddle to replace, you just need two small screwdrivers to push down the mounting lugs inside the vent and they slide right out. Cheap as chips too- https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183758078004 Sent from my SM-G965F (S9+)

  4. I do like finishing work tonight with the weekend off and nothing; well almost nothing to do until Monday 👍 Been a busy few weeks at home then going to work aswell; particularly this week; getting 6-7 hours sleep per night all week, I had the option of working in the morning but I said no, going to fit a length of skirting board tomorrow morning and that's me done for the weekend 😅

  7. Yeah its a sale tactic they use. Those performance brake lights they released were £22 but now they are £24. When I add the discount it comes close to £25 after everything. Delivery is cheaper as its a smaller item. Once they charged me £5 for delivery of bulbs and when it arrived it came in a small box the same as if I was to pay £2 for delivery 😤

  8. Absolutely fuming with Currys. Ordered a new camera last Saturday in store to be delivered to store in a few days for collection. On Sunday I went back to the store and changed the order as the camera I originally wanted was showing as available. Once again the item was to be delivered to store. We are now on Friday and I hadn't heard anything from Currys. So I went down to find out what was going on and someone in an office somewhere had acknowledged the change in product and said it would be dispatched this week on their deliveries (Wednesday). Turns out that said person in office cancelled the dispatch so no camera was sent to store (the store has no paperwork on this product). They have my money but I have no camera and now have to wait until Wednesday at the earliest before I can collect it. If I go on the website and order it, I can have it delivered to store tomorrow. Staff in store can't use that system and have to order it for when they get their regular deliveries (Wednesdays and Saturdays). How messed up is their store ordering system? Store manager not helpful at all. No offer of any good will gesture because of the mess-up and inconvenience and would only give me an email address for customer services to explain the situation. I don't think I'll be shopping at Currys again, no matter how many discount codes they send me in emails.

  9. If your car profile info is good then if think Finis code 1741801 (about £1.80 each) is what you need. See the 'HS1' part on this page https://ford.7zap.com/en/car/183/no/0/2826/21008/98273/

  11. Got the same email but even with the supposed 25% off, there are no savings as they hike up the cost with postage and taxes afterwards. This is for the dipped beam H7 LEDs (with caps): Total £58.82 Subtotal £59.90 Discount SHOW25 - £14.97 £14.97 off total order price Shipping £4.90 Taxes £8.99

  12. The usual problem seems to be purchasing one of these, then finding it doesn't have enough performance, then asking here for advice on tuning which is not really a practical prospect. As long as you know what you're buying, and it meets your needs (which in the OP's case it seems to), they're fine. Would definitely recommend the 82ps version, though. My Mrs had one for 3 years, mostly as a runabout, but I used it a lot and as @LondonFiesta says, it was a lot of fun to drive!

  13. Had to get a photo of these together last night. The Mk6 ZS is a locally owned car, and it is very standard and well looked after, so whilst it was parked up i thought id get a photo of my Mk7 equivalent next to it.

  14. Yeah i thought possibly an oil burner, i didnt go round the back of it to look for the badge. Thats a minter you have there! Getting more scarce are standard examples of earlier cars nowadays. Thats my intention with my mk7

  19. Soooooo..... guys update!!! Left my car down today to have the water pump replaced which I was prepared to pay for because it needs done, just received a call from the garage!! ITS NOT THE DAMN WATERPUMP!!!! It’s something internal, and guess what the Ford garage I left it with won’t investigate because they don’t have to correct tools!!!! WHAT!!!! So I’ve just lifted the car ( with 29 miles more on the clock than when I left it) and have booked it into another Ford garage. Unfortunately it won’t be seen for another 2 weeks!! They wouldn’t tell me what they think is wrong and apparently the mechanic looking at the car was conveniently away on a job!! I rang ford customer service and that was completely useless, every question I asked was replied with “I’m sorry, we don’t have that on our system” On the plus side I got my £120 back for the miss diagnosis. And quite possibly I could be eating my words!! Maybe just maybe the warranty isn’t such a bad thing!! I can’t see how they can wriggle out of not standing over an internal engine problem. I just wish I knew what it might be. If anyone has any ideas as to what might be wrong please let me know, I have 2 young kids and want them to be safe in the car. All I can tell you is the noise sounds similar to a belt tensioner rattle, noticeable more when the engine is up to temperature, idling and it’s coming from the same side the water pump is on and sounds down low. Tune in again soon for another episode of WTF!!!![emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. @zain611 open up the picture of your teacher in one app and snip around his face and copy and paste this onto the other image of the album cover. MS Paint should allow you to do this basically. I did a lot of snips of my bosses face ages ago for his 30th birthday wrapping paper and put his face onto cartoons/tv programs from the early 80's. I used GIMP for this at the time (free image editor software - https://www.gimp.org/ ) but barely remember which of the settings I used for some of the more clever stuff that I did .

  34. I have my Ford about a week and noticed a bulb over the reg went, so as I have over the years said do both bulbs at once. Go to the other side and its much harder and turns out the metal clip is knackered and the bulb/holder is lose as not doing its job Rang Ford and wanted E21 for it, got talking to a parts place and on about led strip and got me looking, then seen the below video and got talking to Jay and then have stopped doing them Has anyone any recommendations of a a site or seller to get something like this? Looking on Irish site and they are E30, but then could be batch of Chinese etc stock being resold for big profit If not im looking at maybe going to car breakers and paying E10 for secondhand part and waiting on the clip to go or it to break when bulb goes, so would like to go the brand new led setup Thanks for any and all help!! https://www.adverts.ie/exterior-parts/2pcs-car-led-license-number-plate-light-for-f-ord-kuga-fiesta-f-ocus-m-ondeo-for-xf-xj-18-led-canbus-12v-error-free-white-lamp/17555386

  36. Personal liability: having no money does not stop someone sueing you. It might put them off making the effort but it is not a bar to them doing it. So they could still get a court award made against you, and if you have not got any money to pay it, the debt may hang over you until you do have some money years later. Also in UK law they have 3 years to make a claim against you for personal injury and 6 yrs if you damage their property. Which makes it important to keep copies of insurance documents for years as you don't know when a claim might be made. Tomorrow someone could make a claim against me for something that allegedly happened 5 yrs 11 months ago that I did not even know I had apparently done. Courts can extend the time limits if circumstances are reasonable eg it took years to track down the culprit. The more you look into this kind of stuff the more you realise it is important to have personal liability cover and to keep the documents as evidence for years. If it's injury and the injured party needs medical care for the next 30 years and loss of earnings etc it's over a million quid. There have been cases where pedestrians have been sued for stepping into the road (on their phone or headphones on etc) and causing an accident, I recall one where a cyclist died and the pedestrian was sued. It sounds like I am going on a bit and preaching- but it is something you could be paying for for the rest of your life if you don't have the insurance cover.

  37. Finished pinstriping the front after seeing some on the Facebook page, I had to try it, and think it looks much better! Also my ford gel overlays should be here soon and the front is done (apart from Halos).

  38. Tbf that just sounds unlucky. It is perfectly reasonable that it could have been fine 3 months ago, the slip detection software should have alerted you to the fault after the recall was done if the clutch was bad at the time. Is it possible your sons driving style may have accelerated the wear? The clutches on these aren't particularly strong and can't the 'abuse' that clutches on other cars might...
