So, update. Finance was approved, told the dealer to not put on the diamond package, ended up throwing it in for free 😄 Collecting next Saturday.3 points

I'll be the odd one out and say I actually like fords nav, Live traffic can be a little hit and miss, don't forget when you have your route set the voice command "traffic" will list incidents on your route ..2 points

I've just had an email about Fuel ***** (as, presumably, the rest of you with a PetrolPrices account have!) and wondered if anyone uses it? Does it work reliably? Is there a catch? 4p off at Esso for diesel or 1p off at Shell seems good. I'm not using BP any more after my most recent experience there! https://fuelpecker.com/?refcode=CAMC-FUEL-GB EDIT - If anyone is offended by the word P3CKER they really are a *****!1 point

Had my ST-Line X 140 for just over 5 months now and in in general I'm very happy with it. Some of the extras that I wouldn't bother with again though are :- Reversing camera, maybe mines faulty but it's useless in the dark, way over exposed can't see a thing. Also, during the recent very wet weather it gets dirty so quickly you can't see anything either, day or night. with hindsight I should have chosen the rear/front parking sensors only. Lane keeping assist (or whatever they call it), not strictly a chosen extra, it was part of the ST-Line X, but I find it pretty annoying so leave it turned off. Engine Stop/Start, again not a chosen option but also fairly useless. In my tests it doesn't save any fuel and unless you are stopping for more than 20 seconds or so it's also very annoying, also annoying that you can't choose the default to off, you have to turn it off everytime you start the engine. Door edge protectors, would be ok if they worked, mine have just got stuck so they don't operate, took it back to the garage and they fixed them but they only lasted a week. Can't be bothered to keep taking it back, they look cheap and nasty so I doubt they'll ever work reliably. Which ones (if any) do you regret paying for and which ones would you rather have?1 point

It could be due to reg changes, mine wasn't listed for a couple of weeks during the time I noticed the car was actually up for sale, after I bought it I got the paperwork and found it had a private plate before it was given to the dealer, and was removed at handover. Around 9 days after I got the car it showed up on ETIS, however, I WAS able to find it by VIN before that whilst it was still on sale. Unsure what the process is/was or if it was just sloppy comms from the dealer side which wouldn't really surprise me, but if you can somehow get the VIN you may have some luck.1 point

Funnily enough today was the first day in a while I've had my roof open. It's really dependant on wind noise like you mention, but I tend to close mine once I get about 50+. I use it mainly as an alternative to having the side window open around town as the Fiesta seems to channel any air directly into your face sometimes. I also have a worrying suspicion that with my luck the glass will fly off the car if I keep it open any faster 😁 I've only ever experienced what you've mentioned with my previous car (not a Fiesta) where it would stall on Spotify at certain tracks. Not sure what was causing it, other than suspecting it was an issue with how the system in the car was interpreting the information from the app.1 point

Going onto YouTube and watching 2 st-3's the MK7 and MK8,MK7 stage 2 remap and MK8 stage 1 so they were both around 250 bhp. It wasn't a race just showing the stuff what's been up-dated and the low down torque on the Mk8 was mad but he did go for the Mk7 in the end. The sound was amazing.1 point

I have a 1.0L (3cyl) Ecoboost petrol but mine is an auto. My driving pattern is the worst possible for economy, nearly all very short journeys (2/3 miles). I get 35 - 37 mpg average which I think is not too bad for an auto with such short trips. I do drive very gently to get the most out of it. If you are getting less than this with a manual transmission and longer journeys, I would say there is either a problem with the car or your driving technique..1 point

I don't like this confrontation I saw today just a few minutes ago after arriving home. Was on one of the sideroads and a car was in front pulling out at a T section. This corsa went past and stopped and saw the passenger looking at the guy in the car in front of me and swearing at him. The corsa passenger got out and the other car driver also and just started arguing before the corsa driver got out to calm them down. Trying to know what caused this. Either the corsa occupance didn't like the guy coming out the road or he might of made a hand gesture at them whilst they were passing1 point

@Bannko New to this site and like others have stumbled upon it because we have all purchased a Ford with SYNC 2 without Nav (even when the dealer says it does come with Nav). Whilst I know your busy helping the 1000's of people in the same boat, would you also be able to send me the information on how to obtain the Nav licence and also how to enable it using FORScan. I have the ELM 327 OBDII connection already. Thanks again with everything you do round here!!1 point

Went down to see my bros mate and he took it for a quick spin on his break says there is a slight knocking but it's fine, he done a couple of manoeuvres and emergency breaks and said it's nothing to worry about and will go right over it on the service so I'm a little less worried1 point

Hello, I have been reading this forum for a while so I decided to join! I am the owner of a Mk4 1998 encore Fiesta. I have managed to keep it running through most issues, ~64k on the clock now. It was our wedding car a couple of years ago, so hoping to keep it on the road as long as possible! Mark1 point

I think also, that if that engine is put on a dyno, it will show the maximum torque starting from 2000 rpm, not from 1400 as Ford says1 point
-

I've not seen that written anywhere in my Ford manual. It's says that maximum Torque is available from 1400 rpm and it stays fairly flat at that level until just over 5,000 rpm but that doesn't necessarily mean the turbo starts spooling up at 1400 rpm. Must be my age and dodgy hearing but I can't hear anything from the turbo at any speed/load.1 point

Only if Ford are informed of the change (I.e Ford main dealer selling the car or contact with CS). Mine was only changed from its old Jersey reg when I tried to warranty claim my tailgate paintwork.1 point

Guido, when you have it installed, could you post a photo of the module connector in situ? I have exactly the same unit (6000) and would love it to be able to pair with my phone, but am unclear how the connector would work, and also, how it operates when fitted....1 point

Thanks for that tip. There’s always something you miss when trying to read the handbook cover to cover. 👍😃1 point

Not always strictly true, in my experience. Often the dealer will discount the price of the car to allow them to include the extra at no additional cost. As we all know, the extras are where the dealership / salesman / saleswoman makes the most money in terms of commission and bonuses. As long as you keep your wits about you it's quite possible to get extras thrown in and not pay the penalty. It's all down to how much they have left in their discount pool. Negotiate the price, then negotiate any extras 😉1 point

Lol only know because we bought one for the Mrs just before the facelift was announced!😀1 point

I'm pretty sure it's the drop link , going to take the wheel of tomorrow and have a look around see if I notice anything, I drove it 150miles today and all was fine it's just on rough roads and speed bumps in lower speeds I hear it and I dont think its driving bad, other than the noise everything seems fine1 point

The car's computer is reading the engine coolant sensor signal and giving a wrong reading. Either the sensor is bad or the computer is bad. Disconnect the battery negative for 30mins then connect it back up. Turn the ignition key on for 5 mins and see what happens. Did you have any problems when changing the battery over?1 point

I would probably use google maps, it is accessible on Apple CarPlay but as soon as I use Siri I then have voices of Siri and google assistant at same time! Live traffic shows me congestion, SOMETIMES road works. Google and Apple are much more accurate. Better for alternative routes and timing too. Warnings about potholes in Glasgow would be a continuous running commentary! Is waze Apple or Android?1 point

It's how you drive it. I get 45mpg easily from our 125 Ecoboost, my wife gets low 30's when she drives it.1 point

Thanks for posting the video. Not my cup of tea as per my comments earlier in the thread. They've managed to include the feature I dislike most about Teslas - the giant touchscreen - but unlike that there are at least there at least some seperate instruments and even the odd switch!1 point
