  1. COVID-19 BREAKING NEWS. Men aged between 20-65 are now thought most likely to carry the Corona virus without showing any signs or symptoms. The best course of action is to avoid women and children to prevent the spread of the virus. Car parts shops, the shed or garage have been recognised as self isolation areas by the World Health Organisation and you must now self isolate for 14 days. Ensure you have with you, your laptop, PayPal details and plenty of tea bags and milk. In the event you cannot finish that project you purchased two years ago, take the opportunity to tidy the garage in peace or sort through all the junk in there and list it on Ebay to fund another car while you can!

  3. Took our two daughters and dog Liam out in the car today; to the beach for a few hours to get out of the house; Nobody around atall theres a number of little coastal areas down along the south east, every couple of miles take a left to another one. We normally go to the forest on sundays but I thought better to keep isolated and avoided meeting people on narrow walks or risk of the dog picking up a used tissue, it's much easier to survey the ground on the sand rather than dense forest floor. Left our five year old son at home with his mother as were concerned if he gets it as he had pneumonia when he was only two weeks old, although he recovered to full health; his lungs are still brittle, he gets a chesty cough any time he is subjected to a sudden temperature change.

  5. I don't like going to my local Tesco today to find NO toilet paper, NO kitchen paper and NO tissues whatsoever. Thankfully I don't need any of the above but that's not the point - there will be people who DO and they cannot buy because of these morons thinking they need 200 rolls of toilet paper to survive the Coronavirus!!

  7. That egg sandwich which was returned then potentially contaminated, Ireland news today; there preparing for 50,000 cases, there using some liquidation hotels which are currently closed since around 2008 due to recession the loans weren't paid so there government owned buildings; there opening them as hospitals, Taking people in to them for examination; extreme cases then go out the back door to an ambulance and on for the hospital, It's all very serious but the news aren't reporting everything over here; I've saw video from a colleague of a local being taken from his home three weeks ago yet our area isn't yet affected according to the news, Tomorrow I'm in work again, working paddys day right through yo Sunday I usually get changed in to work cloths in work but tomorrow I'll bs taking my work cloths home, this way I dont have to go in to the locker room to get changed along side others, I'll also be using the car for lunch breaks instead of the canteen have a flask prepared for coffee, theres only 33 of us in there now manufacturing; but statistically atleast four of us are going to contract the virus; feels like Russian roulette I'm just trying to ensure it's not me as I don't want to risk our son. Luckily I work in a building on my own looking after two to three processes just the forklift gets shared among areas. Outside of work I go to the beach or home, my wife goes to the shops once every three days at the moment but if cases pile up then we need to reduce the frequency. It's a different reality if you like Fallout4 then your grand lol

  11. A 2012 Focus should be a Focus MK3 (the production of the MK2.5 stopped early 2011). On a Focus MK3 There is no pump or fluid. A 2012 Focus (MK3) has the Ford EPAS (Electric Power Assisted Steering). The EPAS steering rack is full electric. It basically consists of an electric actuator motor that is connected to the steering rack ball nut mechanism by a toothed belt. The rotational input of the steering wheel is measured by a sensor. Based on this information the integrated control module of the steering wheel (PSCM) controls the electric actuator motor. Compared to conventional hydraulic power steering or electro/hydraulic systems the EPAS system has many advantages. The system is very compact and because the system has a lot less moving parts the system is maintenance free and a lot more energy efficient. This helps to improve fuel economy. Unfortunately the Ford EPAS system also has its problems. The PSCM module is known to be extremely sensitive for low battery voltage. If the PSCM detects a low battery voltage during the wake up process the power steering will be disabled and a warning message will be shown on the instrument cluster display. Ford released software updates to improve this. Electronic failure of the PSCM however is quite common. If the problems persist while the battery condition and state of charge of the battery are good and the PSCM has the latest available software installed.the problem will definetely be caused by a defective PSCM. Because the PSCM is an integral part of the EPAS steering rack this means that the complete EPAS steering rack needs to be replaced.

  14. UK Virus ALERT The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent virus threat and have therefore raised their threat level from “Miffed” to “Peeved.” Soon, though, level may be raised yet again to “Irritated” or even “A Bit Cross.” The English have not been “A Bit Cross” since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. The virus has been re-categorized from “Tiresome” to “A ***** Nuisance.” The last time the British issued a “***** Nuisance” warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada. The Scots have raised their threat level from “***** Off” to “Let's Get the *****.” They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years. The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its alert level from “Run” to “Hide.” The only two higher levels in France are “Collaborate” and “Surrender.” The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability. Italy has increased the alert level from “Shout Loudly and Excitedly” to “Elaborate Military Posturing.” Two more levels remain: “Ineffective Combat Operations” and “Change Sides.” The Germans have increased their alert state from “Disdainful Arrogance” to “Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs.” They also have two higher levels: “Invade a Neighbour” and “Lose.” Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels. The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy. Australia, meanwhile, has raised its alert level from “No worries” to “She'll be alright, Mate.” Two more escalation levels remain: “Crikey! I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!” and “The barbie is cancelled.” So far, no situation has ever warranted use of the final escalation level. The Russians have said “Its not us”

  15. I don't know about anyone else but I'm getting fed up of all sides of the press scaremongering about this. Yes, we need to wash our hands properly. Yes, we need to stop picking noses, licking fingers etc etc So to counter this there are some cracking memes etc circulating social media 😃

  16. Thought I'd seen an actual figure quoted somewhere and just found it. It was on the Honest John site and said the combination of increased ride height and seating position meant you could sit up to 60 mm higher in the Puma than the Fiesta. We have a similar "thing" with seats - the Mrs likes high for her back issues, I like low. Not a problem if we stick to our own cars,of course. I even find the seating position in her SEAT Mii (VW Up clone) pretty high compared to the Fiesta (she has the seat cranked up to max, of course). Back to the Puma. The one I tested felt way higher than my Fiesta when actually driving it, but I found I could cope with it if I adjusted it as low as it would go, whereas I'm sure the Mrs would be fine with it on high. Getting back in the Fiesta, after driving the Puma on even the lowest setting, the Fiesta felt really low.

  23. No-one can tell you how serious it is without a fault code check as the light comes on for so many different things. As long as the oil pressure light isn't on, all fluid levels are ok and it's not overheating it's probably still safe to drive for now.

  28. Try web shop car parts. Use aftermarket by Dayco, Continental, Febi, Gates or Corteco. I did replace pulley on my 1.8TDCI as a precaution after the wet/cam belt service with Dayco. Also replaced the pulley bolt with Corteco one (had same stamp on the bolt head as original removed). As a must, also replace the pulley bolt. There is a set of both available by above manufacturers.
