That would be a UK spec if bought new in Northern Ireland. It is just us unlucky ones in the south of Ireland who get badges that mean f**k all AKA my Titanium that looks to be a complete stock as you like 1.25 with none of the Titanium nice bits except the badges.....which are going in the bin. I doubt the previous owner just bought a Halford's special badge and banged it on as I have all the order forms, PDI and registration dockets which have indicated it was a "Titanium" from factory. A lot of us in the south will buy and import UK cars second hand since the specs are SO SO SO SO much better. Stupid Irish Spec Cars.3 points

Dunno if you'd be interested but there's an 80s festival from last year being played 'live' on YouTube & Facebook on Saturday night. Might not be quite your bag though!2 points

Good news/bad news kinda post so I'll carry on trying to be positive and bump this thread up a bit 😉 Bad news is that for obvious reasons all our summer gig plans have fallen by the wayside this year 😠 but the upside is that we are starting to get refunded for tickets/accommodation and flights so the bank balance is starting to look a bit more healthy 👍 Every cloud etc etc WARNING!!! Could be a wee swearie involved 😉2 points

Good news guys 😀. Two days back those headlights I was looking at getting came back in stock from that website. Quickly bought them on that day and 2 days after they arrived 😁. Already went out of stock after just a day. Just want to get some good H1 LED bulbs and ppf to protect the plastic lense from hazing then it's good to go 😀2 points

@Guy Heaton I do like a bit of old Seasick 😎 He's a great story teller as well, I could listen to him for hours. I like the name of his one album "I Started Off With Nothing And I've Still Got Most Of It Left!" 😂2 points

If you're about to buy a g-clamp to do this job, don't bother. Get a proper toolset with all the different pieces, such as this this tool which will work for just about every caliper out there. If you ever do a rear caliper you'll probably find the piston is on threads so a g-clamp wont work. These are a lot less fiddly than a g-clamp and dont have to use an old brake pad to use it lol.2 points

Looking good. Might as well have bought an ST by this point maybe? 😜1 point

It could be that the cabin sensor is clogged up. Needs removing and vacuuming out, probably, or you could try putting the vac nozzle against the vent and hoping to suck up any fluff,to save you having to dismantle anything to gain access1 point

Power Ballad time! Heard this track a couple of times over the last few days and it reminded me of how much I love it and the whole album in general. For all you youngsters out there I implore you to have a listen to what must be classed as one of the most influential albums of the rock era and certainly one that influenced my musical path. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bat_Out_of_Hell1 point

Fitted new battery today and everything is hunky dory! To be fair to the old battery I think it's been on since the car was born so it's done well for 11+ years. With the benefit and wisdom of hindsight I should, perhaps, have posted in this thread .1 point

Just to add this is in what I call long term development. The car will be staying for good and at some point I'll be buying another vehicle. When I do. This will be kept aslo. Current plans are. In this order. 1-get the dam clutch in 2-fit a huge intercooler and make all the adjustments to this bumper as it's already damaged. So when I buy a new one. I'll know what to do 3- for performance brake pads of some description 4-buy a set of wheels and a decent set of tyres. (Can't be track tyres as auto solo won't let me run sticky stuff) 5- sort something out with the exhaust system, I'm currently running an st150 item 6-build new engine up to stop it marking it's territory Sent from my SM-A505FN using Tapatalk1 point

My motorway vibration is cured! Tyre had got a slight flat spot on it from sitting around for ages.1 point

Did you ever get Modern Warfare? Must be cheap now if not. I don't really understand how the crossplay works but if you get it, we can give it a go. There's a Piccadilly map with busses & cars and the numberplates always remind me of yours, something like X51 KNM! I haven't been to Piccadilly for nearly 20 years in real life but would know my way around now because of CoD!1 point

Now there's a bit of GTA San Andreas! It's not Bob Marley though, and it's certainly not called 'Out To Space'!! It's Max Romeo - Chase the Devil.1 point

Yeah and the c1 box is significantly lighter [emoji23]. I don't mind doing clutch's like that all day. Little jap stuff is so nice to work on. I've been thinking about importing a kei car for years now. Got a weird affinity for them. Sent from my SM-A505FN using Tapatalk1 point

Well it's not a hard job with the right tools. It's a HEAVY job alone though. I usually lift it in and out with someone but due to what's going on currently had to do it by myself. Which is annoying as I had to lift it back in and bolt up to pack tools away and wait for the paddle to arrive. If you're mechanically minded I'd say a day's work easy. Took me just over two hours to get out but I've been a tech almost 14 years now. Sent from my SM-A505FN using Tapatalk1 point

I'm surprised there's still enough people playing BO3 online tbh! Wasn't that the one from about 3 years ago now? 😮 I've just checked my Modern Warfare stats...apparently I've spent 4 days and 17 hours playing it since Xmas! Overall KDR is 0.93 but I don't really play for kills, more for objectives and challenges! Win/lose ratio is 1.3 which isn't bad! I obviously don't drag the rest of the team down too badly!1 point

After 2 years I hopped back onto call of duty black ops 3 multiplayer. @TomsFocus what's your K/D? I haven't played this game or any other cod online for a while and I'm getting really good K/Ds 😁. Back then I got this gun through supply drops and that's my go to now. Don't like being the sweaty player using the common gun.1 point

Finally got the thermostat for the Mondeo this afternoon. All fitted . That's the Peugeot parked up again.😀😀😀😀1 point

I agree with Luke. I used to push the pistons back by hand on my Sierra but when I got my the ST24 in 2003 I needed a proper wind back tool to do the rear calipers so bought a kit similar to the link above.1 point

The Honda probably would have been the most reliable if they had kept going, but it had the long wheelbase and low clearance disadvantage The peugeot was spewing blue smoke and it's exhaust fell off, that's french build quality for you 😂1 point

removed and tested intercooler and pipes. no leaks. no change. Can someone confirm that this car is a 90 BHP? this is what comesback from ETIS Focus 2011-2015, 1.6L DV6C Econetic Sub-90, Frozen White. whats the SUB mean? Putting the VIN Here is not a good idea?1 point

I do like getting my Mondeo back from the smash repairers, in almost pristine condition! I will somewhat miss getting the 70 MPG the courtesy car was getting though1 point

It turned out too be the thermostat housing. Or at least the rubber sealing gasket. Changing wasn't too bad. Headlight out. Slip off drive belt and reuse. Alternator off. etc. Make sure you fit a 'quality' thermostat as the first one I got off ebay was way too small to fit snugly in the block recess. Ford Gaskets are the best, you don't want to be doing this job twice. Many thanks to everyone for the help1 point

I got this done over the last weekend, feels like I should have done it years ago! Many thanks for the information and to all the posters here, it's a great resource. If you are going to do it, read everything first and watch the videos. The extra tips from Bannko were invaluable, some parts of the dash I would have broken if not for his extended instructions. However, I do have a few followup questions Although I had Forscan installed and and backed up my old Sync 2 settings, the new APIM just worked after I installed it. It was supposedly taken from a RS with the same NAV and rear camera / sensors as my vehicle from what I can tell. If it appears to all work, is there anything I need to do? I read about the climate page not working, there is no climate page for me? (I'm assuming as above it is already disabled) The bottom bar reads Audio, Phone, Navigation, Mobile Apps, Settings.1 point

Even the Titanium X doesn't come 'fully specced'. There are still many options you could choose on top of that base spec. It's not as simple as inserting an SD card but you can add sat nav. The Grand C-Max isn't badged 'Grand', it just has the 7 seats and sliding door as you say.1 point

Same here mine is due January 2021 so hopefully all will be back to normal by then but if they want to extend my MOT expiry to July 2021 then that's fine by me!! Saves me £50-odd as I know my car is road worthy regardless of having a certificate which is practically invalid as soon as you leave the garage forecourt.1 point
