  1. I was walking along the street the other day when I slipped in dog *****. A minute later, some guy did exactly the same. I said to him, "I just did that!" So he punched me in the face and called me a dirty *****! ____ I took a girl home. We got kissing on the sofa & before long I slipped my hand into her knickers. She asked, "Shall we take this upstairs?" I said, "No I'd rather we did it here." "Oh I see," she winked. "Something in your bedroom you don't want me to see eh?" "Yeah, my wife!" ____ You can burn up to 150 calories through one vigorous session of masturbation... 2. Simple answer is that it doesn't need one so they can save a bit of cash on a sensor and wiring. These run fixed cams so the PCM can always calculate the cam position from the crank sensor input.

  3. I would say check the bottom ball joints. If they are a loose as that sounds then that can give you the shaking. You could try by getting someone to shake the steering whilst you grab hold of the ball joint, or raise the wheel off the ground, grab the wheel at 12 and 6 O'clock positions and wiggle it, if there is movement then chances are that it's the bottom ball joint (you've ruled out the track rod ends already). You might also feel movement/knocking shaking at 3 and 9 o'clock too being that loose. (If you have a helper then they can shake/wiggle while you feel the joints.

  4. The pressure difference is too low, meaning the DPF is empty, there isn't anything to burn off in a regen. It would be potentially dangerous to try and regen an empty DPF so the PCM won't allow it. You still need to do the same as before, take a live data graph of the differential pressure reading so we can how low it is and if it changes under load etc. If the sensor really is new, it may be a low quality part, or may not be correct for this car.

  5. That's very concerning especially on a 2013 Ecoboost. The Turbo failure is possibly caused by oil starvation as the little oil filter gauze gets clogged up with bits of the wet belts as they begin to disintegrate.

  6. You do realise that Uniroyal is actually owned by Michelin & Continental, both ‘co-parenting’.The interesting think is that they only ranked 17th out of 21 in the Autobild 2023 summer tyre test.Thought they would have achieved a better result than that. The positives though,Exemplary reserves against aquaplaning reserves, safe wet handling. Negatives: Extended dry braking distances, heavily understeering dry braking. But in saying that you cannot have it both ways in a tyre. Overall not a bad all rounder.

  8. Usually the door latch module. Some people have had luck just spraying a bit of WD40 around but the modules don't last forever. Occasionally the wiring in the door breaks but that's not so common. Not expensive used or difficult to change, just a bit time consuming as there's a lot of stuff to remove for access inside the door.

  10. I tried with the tape. You are right there isn't much leverage to wrap it around. Doubt it'll do much good. For now, it's looking like a garage job as I can't see myself repairing it without aid. Thanks anyway, great forum!

  11. Yes, the gauge isn't designed to be accurate on modern cars (since about late 90's). It's more of a guideline to just read normal unless it's very cold or very hot. If you don't have Forscan, even the basic OBD readers can often show the real-time temp from the temp sensor. Watch it rise smoothly and accurately from start-up if possible. If not scanned with Forscan yet, that would definitely be the next step though.

  12. Have you scanned for any fault codes using Forscan? As it's temp dependent, I'd be checking the coolant temp sensor accuracy, ambient air temp sensor accuracy, lambda sensor heater working.

  13. I have experience of 2 x different windscreen mounted DAB aerials. Both have been simply awful. My issue was solved by a £10 Halfords DAB MagMount aerial. Not the prettiest, but I'd have functionality as a priority any day...

  14. First time I've seen that, though I don't have any soft drinks. When we first got recycling bags here back in the 00's, we were told to leave the lids off so the bottles would be crushed and save space in the trucks. Trouble is, the lids are too small for the recycling sorter machines so we're now told to crush the bottles and then replace the lids. I suspect people either don't know about the change or couldn't be ar*ed with the hassle. I have noticed that the lids on many water bottles have become much shorter recently though, and are also tapered towards the base. Both of those things make them more difficult to grip and I keep dropping the damn things! I consider myself fairly dexterous as well, must be a bigger issue for anyone with arthritis or similar. Did write to a couple of the manufacturers, stating my concerns, particularly for the elderly or disabled, but never received a response. I'm all for reducing plastic waste, but not at the expense of product usage. There are other instances of this as well, particularly with own brand items. For example, pork pies used to come in a solid plastic tray. That's been removed, so now they get bashed in transit and the bags split leaving them soggy. The paper on top of a spreadable butter tub has also been removed so the top layer is just rank oil, and the tub itself has been made too thin, so it's difficult to get the lid off without breaking the finger tab, and if you do happen to drop the whole thing, the tub bursts easily. The most annoying part here is that both pork pie trays and butter tubs are easily recyclable...it's all the damn plastic film everywhere that can't be easily recycled and needs to be re-thought imo.

  20. I absolutely hate the new style of screw top in drinks bottles where the screw top is tethered on! It gets in the way if you drink from the bottle, and it often doesn't allow a smooth screw back on often cross threading so the drink goes flat! Stupid idea and the inventor should be shot! I now simply cut the top off, and treat it like a proper screw top!

  21. I like to have a go at fixing things myself and I'd quite happily have a go at fixing the turbo and refitting it but removing everything on top of the rocker cover, removing the rocker cover and timing belt cover along with everything else as well beyond my capabilities especially on the drive. I'm expecting this to be a full on timing belt change, new, recon or repaired turbo along with cleaning out the sump and pick up pipe etc. I'm not certain if the belt has been changed tbh but looking at the sump as I was underneath it did look like it had been off at some point as the gasket sealer didn't look like how I would expect it from the factory.

  22. Just checking what you are asking. You want to know if you can fit a door from a 2009 Focus Mk2.5 to a 2011 Focus Mk3 is that correct ?

  25. I've just checked the instructions on a bottle of drain cleaner I bought a while ago. 1. Pour whole bottle into drain. 2. Wait 1 hour then flush through 3. Repeat weekly That's a great bit of marketing - buy our product every week and throw it down the drain!

  26. I stopped using our Ford dealership some five years ago due to the high costs, a local reputable car garage does it all for less than half the price and they also use genuine Ford parts, even fully stamping the service book too, I'll never use a dealership again.

  27. Never, ever, flush the 1.0 Ecoboost. It destroys the wet built. If they offered you a flush I'd also be concerned they don't appreciate this and may not know it's also fussy about what oil is used.

  30. I doubt it'd make a difference in this case. Coke are hardly going to make 'UK only' machines for bottle production. In the same way we won't get UK only cars manufactured without EU required items.

  31. No need to test for vacuum leaks I've found the problem, turbo is f@#ked. Took the inlet pipe off to inspect the turbine and it has loads of play in it. New/recon turbo required or a new cartridge at the very least. A bit annoying as I only took the car out on finance last year.

  32. Hi: I found a U-tube video which told of water finding its way from the washer pump to the body control module of the Mk4 Mondeo. That resulted in all manner of electrical problems. Ford would probably want you to replace the BCM at a greater cost than the value of the car. There are plenty of used units available on ebay. My local dealer wanted to replace the stereo unit which would cost in excess of £1,500 and that wouldn't have changed anything. I gather this problem is very common so Ford must know all about it. Still, why bother about old Mondeos?
