  2. Hi, on wife’s mk2 focus it’s got a Sony smiley face stereo. if I was to change for a double din unit which is square do I have to buy an adaptor . Halfords sell double din be square hole ones for ford but it rounded on edges of Sony
  3. Hi I’ve mk 2 focus ghia with Sony gen 2 stereo and a audio connector in glove box. can I plug in Bluetooth receiver and connect via Bluetooth on iPhone thanks any recommendations to what receivers are good ? cheers guys

  7. I’ve a Ford Focus 109 2008 1.6tdci . Oil Changed every 6K . 1 previous owner and ford full history from new and only 49k when I brought nearly 3 years ago . Now on 80k but with a few expenses since ownership New battery , alternator , DPF filer last month . EGR valve and today angle sensor and steering sensor but now found out it’s power steering pump . wife can’t understand that the issue can’t be fixed with having to replace other parts first to find the issue. I told her brings up fault codes but can relate rrp a number of probs causing the issue. She can’t understand if they replace a part and it don’t work I shouldn’t be charged because the old parts were obviously fine before. I explained modern cars are run by computers but still can’t get through to her
  8. Focus 1.6 tdci 109 2008 ive experienced loss of power at 70+ Accelerating. Like taking foot off accelerator peddle, then picks up , slows a few times then clear after a while. recently had new dpf , fuel filter, oil, air filter changed every 6K and use bp fuel Oils it be a split hose somewhere if so where to check thanks all
  9. Has anybody used the aluminium fuel pellets that goes into the fuel for petrol and diesel cars? Advertised well in classic car weekly but Suitable for all cars. Does it work like to hear your views Thankyou
  10. Hasn’t done it anymore as I took it for a blast last night and used all day today. Strange one
  11. My last focus needed a new turbo and lost power the same but went into limp but my issue today seemed to rectify itself. went for another blast later on but no issues accelerating at 70/80 thankfully Would a regen take so much power as to slow down the car on a flat dual carriageway ?
  12. Focus tdci1.6 2008 Dpf estate just have DPF last week fuel filter , air oil and filter 3k ago. Accelerating to around 80 on dual carriageway way and suddenly lost power then felt like missing on/off for a few 100yds. Seemed ok after as drove up down carriageway a couple of times . No warning lights Anybody know what the prob is?

Focus 1.6 tdci 109 2008 estate last week I experienced 2 issues Power steering malfunction engine malfunction and limp mode Power steering is an angle sensor which is on order Engine malfunction Totally blocked DPF Had it cleaned 3k miles ago / oil/ filter and fuel filter but issued re-occurred within 3 months of having it done. Previous garage did say will need new DPF if happens again. Took to usual man I use and I’ve got a new DPF . Total cost around £550 with labour not frauds £1200. Goes like a train now I’m told collect monday Happy Now Update . New DPF and a totally different car. Performance has dramatically increased . Hardy no turbo lag . like driving a different car now
