  1. ...Oh, btw. My local Ford dealer ship confirms that the updating list doesn't seem to work on models made before april 2017, so it would seem that the list is for the new model only. 🙂 Jan
  2. About 15 minutes, turn off A/C and lights then You should be good to go. It's a fairly big battery on cars with auto Start/stop, and the small amount of power needed to run the Radio/update will not have that much of an impact 🙂 Jan
  3. ...just a heads up when SYNC upgrading, maybe consider the following: do all the things on the upgrading list, Except turning your engine on! almost drove mine into a ditch and put a match to it, it did not work when I followed the list, A nice Aussie guy told me not to turn on my engine, and whatta you know 🙂 c",) Jan

  5. Hi I was wondering if it were possible to conduct a small unscientific survey into the matter of piston ring failure as to how big a problem this actually is, as the engine is available in nearly all Ford models. I was until 3 weeks ago the happy owner of a 2015 Fiesta Ecoboost 1.0 - 100Hp, with 39K KM on it, it is still at the Ford dealership awaiting a new engine.(and turbo) due to first according to the dealership a broken turbo then it turned out also piston ring failure in cyl. 1 I have searched the Net for simular problems, and it seems to me that unfortunately it is a thing with these engines. I would like to know how big a thing, because I would very much not have to put in a new engine in 3 years time 🙂 Jan Boesgaard - ...for the time being not so happy Ford owner
