  1. Hey guys! Hope everyone is staying safe during these times! Got another query, I don't want to ask these questions to vehicle remappers as I don't want a bias opinion to sway me to buy a remap as I know I'll only get answers I wanna hear like "it's risk free" etc But what actual damage does "pop and bang/pops on deceleration" maps do to the car? What pros and cons are there to stage 1 maps? I know the purpose of a stage 1 is to only unlock the power left by the manufacturer. But manufacturers must of capped the power of these cars for a reason right? I have a fiesta mk7.5 140bhp red edition with cobra non res exhaust and stage 2 induction kit with turbo hard pipe and was looking to add a bit more excitement to the setup! Cheers guys!

  3. Thank you guys for the input! That clears it up for me 😊 insurance isnt an issue as I'm with Adrian flux. Clear perspex would be more practical but hopefully they aren't too dark when I go to buy them!

Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Someone said that it may need to be registered as a van if I put these on, is this true? Sorry I know that sounds ridiculous but I want to make sure I won't break any laws putting them on πŸ€”. I know mustangs have the rear window ones but I know you don't need to be able to see out of the rear window, just not sure about the side ones πŸ˜‚

  6. Naaa that's the st one and the maxton design front splitters you can remove or keep doesn't matter, I think most people keep the oem splitter on as most people can't be bothered to drill the rivets out.
  7. Hi Guys just wondering how many of you removed this piece to fit a front splitter? As I noticed on extreme style design that they had installed aftermarket splitters without removing this oem part. Yet I go on delta styling and it looks to be drilled out. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ I drilled mine out to get the delta splitter on there without first checking to see if it needs to be removed, I just assumed 🀣 have I made a mistake? πŸ˜…
  8. Hey there, I'm Conor and I have just bought a Ford Fiesta Zetec S Red Edition. My red edition is a 15 plate on 40k miles, it's the newest car I've owned and my first dealership purchase. It's also my first Ford! I live in Exeter, Devon so anyone from around the area make yourself known as I would like to get to know more people in the ford scene! I got myself fairly well-known in the mx5 scene before this, owning 2 mk1 mx5s before my ford. Having older cars I have done a lot of work on them, I resprayed both of them and the most recent mx5 got an almost rust free transformation, an engine swap(car had been on the nurburgring so engine was pretty *****) and all the usually modifications you can think of! Made the switch to front wheel drive and obviously not jap πŸ™ˆπŸ˜… this made me very nervous as I loved the looks of the red edition, its a gorgeous car but didn't want to be disappointed by the lack of sideways action and old jap roadster feel! But I was beyond impressed with the fiestas performance! It just wants to give the power instant and hug corners! I'm very pleased to have made the decision I have made, it was a bit of a shock to people who follow me and my friends but they can see why I made the change! My future plans for the fiesta is to have air suspension on it by the end of next year and possibly a stage 1 remap with a few other engine mods (itg induction kit, exhaust, dual port dump valve, new piping, dress up kit etc) but at the moment to tide me over till then the car will go in 35mm springs just to sort the arch gap out which should be happening this week and I want new wheels! Possibly ST wheels, team dynamics, compimotives or OZ wheels. Current mods are wind deflectors (of courseπŸ™ˆ), red valve caps, TRC eyebrows and a few interior changes! More to come though don't worry!

  10. Yeah that's what I'm thinking bud! I know a guy local selling 35mm springs local, but he owns an St will I have the same problem with them?
  11. I've also just seen eibach red line springs that lower front by 35mm - 40mm and lower rear by 40mm - 45mm, these look good and I know eibach springs are designed for standard shocks. Although it does say the springs are for st180 and st200's but I doubt that makes a difference.
  12. Okay can you recommend some dampers to look at? If I'm having to buy dampers I may as well get coil overs maybe? Or rock the 35mm for ease.

Wanting to lower my red edition to tide me over until I get airride end of next year but don't want coil overs (owned a slammed mk1 mx5 before this and I ruined the underside🀣) the standard setup is very good looking on the red editions but I want it lower, just to get rid of the arch gap. What stress do lowering springs put on the standard shocks and bump stops? Is the ride better than coil overs? Does anyone have any photos of their fiestas on 50mm springs?
