  1. Hi I’m having a similar problem. I put new alloys onto my focus and the original wheel nuts don’t thread onto the stud now as much as they should / did with the old wheels. A few people have told me that I need special alloy wheel nuts, but I don’t see how this will help as they will still only thread in as far as the original wheel nut does. I’m assuming I need longer wheel studs but mabye someone with experience can give me advice. To me, it doesn’t seem safe to drive on but mabye some of you might know better from the pictures below ( pictures in post below as won’t send with this one) the red line is how far wheel nut threads onto stud
  2. Here is what it look likes when nut is fully tightened
  3. The stud threads in as far as the red line in the second picture. Have been told I need special wheel nuts, but don’t see how this will help as it can still only thread in as far as the alloy..
  4. Any of you posting about putting alloys on your car, I have bought 18” ST alloys for my 2009 focus and am having problems with them. Only put them on yesterday and they look perfect. However the wheel nut doesn’t turn onto the wheel stud as much as it should/ did with old wheels. Do I need special nuts? Thanks
  5. Having a similar problem myself at the moment. Bought aftermarket alloys for an 09 focus, and put them on yesterday. The problem is the wheel nut doesn’t thread into the stud as far as it did with the old wheels and it doesn’t look safe to drive on. Someone suggested to me getting special alloy wheel nuts but I can’t seem to find them anywhere. Mabye someone can send a link to suitable wheel nuts?
  6. I bought a set of ST alloys for my focus today. I have put all 4 Wheels on my car but I noticed the wheel studs don’t stick out as much past the new wheels than they did with the old ones. ( roughly half inch less). I was just wondering how much does the stud need to stick out past the wheel in order for it to be safe. Don’t want to put new studs in unless I really have to. Cheers
  7. Yes, Brian is only 10 mins from me and is serious at doing custom exhausts. I will get in contact with him and see what he recommends👍 Thanks lads
  8. Hi, I would like to get a custom exhaust done on my mk 2 focus. Any recommendations on what I could get done (Preferably NCT passable) and rough costs based on your own experience. I was thinking of getting the backbox out and back into 4 inch twin pipes. As far as I know this is nct passable and would look well, not sure if it would make much difference to sound though. Thanks👍
  9. I checked the plugs and one of them was loose. I tightened it and everything is back working the way it should. Thanks for that
  10. In the last few days, I can not open the boot of the car from the back. I can only open it with the boot button on the key. The light inside the car is coming up that there is a door open (assuming it is the boot) and as a result I cannot lock the car. Any idea what the problem is and whether or not I have to go to dealer with it or can I fix it myself? Also last night, I noticed that the indicator lights, and blue light for full headlights are not coming up on the dash. The outside temperature is also not coming up. I’m assuming this is a fuse but couldn’t find what fuse it could be from looking at the manual. Can anyone tell me what fuse/fuses are gone so I can sort that. Cheers
