  1. That's a shame buddy, it has certainly served you well over the years. Looking forward to seeing your new workhorse! Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  2. I had them on my car since I posted on here, never had a problem, even at high speeds I still got a good spray. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  3. just to clarify, the advice appears to recommend one can add the engine flush to oil prior to the service, there doesnt appear to be any suggestion under what I have read, anyone is suggesting outright draining the engine, and running it without any oil at all for a period of time. I think we all know thats a little crazy.
  4. Well.... Conversations are not going well, aside being played around by the insurance handlers and every muppet involved sadly I learned something new and I will share it with you also I'm case you didn't know. A car can be written off under one off two descriptions, and like me you might be surprised.... CONSTRUCTIVE LOSS - if your vehicle repairs exceed 66% of the vehicles overall value, then it's a constructive loss. Basically, written off because it's likely to be too expensive. TOTAL LOSS - when the value of repairs exceed 100% of the vehicles value. So as little as 2/3 of the value can be a write off. I knew it was a fraction of your value, but I thought it was 75 or 80% never did I imagine it was 66%! Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah thanks man, minor indeed, but the silly woman shoved us over a good 4 feet. I think the wheel and suspension took the worst of it so I don't even dare wonder how that's going to work Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  6. Cheers Clive. Hopefully you recovered well from your run in with the little *****? Thanks Steve, I think that's fair to say. Thanks ET, I'm not sure I would want it repaired. For a start, it's had the rear in driver side damaged and repaired, now the front may result in repair. Problem is the value. Car is worth 1700,between panels, paint, labour, that's going to be half at least if not more. Then there's the suspension, hub and the fact it looks like the chassis is twisted and potentially also split. I'm thinking wishbone as well.... Thanks Phil, yeah I'm hoping for a swift recovery, the pain is kicking up and it's annoying me.... Lol Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  7. Tachograph is part of a truck. Tachometer I believe is another name for the mileage aspect of the instrument panel Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  8. I think my time with ford's has come to an end. I have had them for. Most my driving career, and I have been a member here for many years. But unfortunately my Mondeo is most likely going to be written off. The problem I have is all of my cars I have had accidents in were ford's. The 'bus', and twice on the Mondeo. I have to wonder if the gods of driving are trying to tell me something... On the prior occasions some tools have collided with me (as the old guys and regulars from yesteryear will know) the two times I had a crash I was stationary and vauxhalls tried to kill me. On this occasion it was a Renault who decided red was the new green, jumped the light and the rest as they say, is history. So within 5 weeks of completing physiotherapy from my last accident, I'm back to crippling pain, sleep deprivation and walking around like I'm strapped to a board, so, thanks for that Julie! So I will still be around (granted life has become very busy recently and I don't get on anywhere near enough these days), but I think the Mondeo is either going to be written off, or, If repaired, I will have to find her a new home as the idea of driving it around after front and rear impacts is unnerving... I once write on a review for mindel and I, it would be 'till death us do part' and sadly looks like that's the case. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  9. We have a winner :) Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  10. Close but your thinking far too in the middle Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  11. For many cars I can be the same shape, yet for others I can be different. I am one yet I fit many, yet for many. I must be one only. I am as simple as holding hands, and I make the job last seconds once there. My results can be seen from pretty much every angle. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  12. Nope Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  13. If you get serviced at Ford, they throw a year in. Personally I use flux rescue about 35 quid for the year, no excess (becoming an ever growing problem) unlimited callous and full nationwide home start recovery. Not too bad really Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  14. Gotta agree with Stef. Whilst I'm fairly new to biking, it's gotta be the original blade. If a bike has been missed. It's because someone wanted more from it, bike engines are less forgiving than cars when it comes to being thrashed around. And depending what you want it for (commuting, fun, shows) you need to know how it's been treat and when it comes to bikes, mods on any bike tend to indicate it's been thrashed around Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  15. Holy.... Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk

  17. It comes out of benefits. These are still an income. You would likely arrange with the courts a repayment plan though. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  18. Yup. I understand what they are saying to a degree, hell to some 60 quid is a days lunch, but to some that's vital. I don't agree with it, I don't like it, but the war on motorists is never going to end... I have learned to stop deluding myself and just hope I didn't get clocked this morning... I may have touched 62, 63 at a push in the 60 zone of our stupid motorway (I don't call them smart, I've seen more intelligent pond life) and that's the specially idiotic people in my local towns and places.... 50 percent a weekly wage for a slip up is too much for an accident, like this morning I had the sun in my eyes, burning my retinas, saw the sign but couldn't focus on that, getting my speed right, not allowing the car beside me to plow into me or not having the car behind me ram me. Something had to give! I suppose though, we still have the SAC, which is less than the old ticket for a first offence or first in three years! Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  19. Egr can be bypassed and is fine for the mot at the moment anyway... As for the sport cat, again should be fine as long as it would not impede on the cars intended euro emission standards Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  20. Most of the mot can be laughable... It serves a purpose but some of it is too much... Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  21. Not sure on that I must admit, but I have a friend who is friends with a tester I might ask him next time I catch up with him Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  22. All bulbs are tested Jamie, however if one bulb goes out it's probably not going to be a big problem, probably an advisory... Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  23. Nicer still! Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  24. Notice of intended prosecution, its the police document which arrives within 14 detailing the punishment they intend to offer for the offence. For example, 3 points and 100 fine, and requesting confirmation of the drivers details. I'm on day 1 of waiting just in case as I can't say for definite as I drove past a police car probably over the limit, but they were sat still and didn't come after me, but they might just do the ticket lol Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
