  1. I have a 2017 Mk3 Focus 1.0 Ecoboost with a keyless entry system. Although I don't have any problems with the keys at the moment, I like to be prepared for the unexpected, just in case. If I ever had to order a replacement key I would prefer to just be able to give a dealer a key code rather that having to clone another from my spare.   2. I have been able to update my maps to F9 whilst still using Sync 3.3. Going from Sync 3 v 2.3 to Sync 3 3 was a nightmare as Ford posted corrupted upgrade files for a while on their website. Maps F6 to F8 upgrade was over 24Gb, but I got a 64Gb stick in an Argos sale for £8. After travelling any distance post Lock down was finally permitted, it took about 40 mins to do the first phase of the f6 to F8. When the upgrade re started a corrupt file was reported. When I got home I found the maps had got to F8 and all appeared to work. I downloaded the F9 update and rather than try to fi

  6. Yes I did. I was blighted with numerous issues for several months, all Ford's Fault, with either their website issues or Ford posting corrupt files. I now have Syn 3 V3 and F9 maps. You have to update to Sync 3 v3 first before the maps can be updated. At the time I wanted to go to F8 maps. Then came Lockdown! Reply if you want more help!

  9. At last! The latest download package from Ford delivered Sync 3 Software version 3.0 Build 19205 for me too. The File that previously gave the error is now 1.5 Gb.
  10. Well at last , the most recent download package from Fraud actually works! I know have Sync 3 Sofware vesion 3.0 Build 19205 up and running. Thanks Ford cistomer service for not telling me when another download was available. It has been a learning experience, but one thing I have picked up is to do some investigating yourself when you get error messages etc. So many other people who have experienced the issue. tried all sorts of things that might have been irrelevant. As I type the 25 Gb maps update is downloading. Sigh!!
  11. Just saying it works OK for me or it could be the anti virus could be a red herring for those of us with issues. Bear in mind that different Ford VIN numbers may result in downloads of varying sets of zipped files. Some of the sets may be OK whereas some may have a duff encrypted file. I have a Focus 1.0 Ecoboost 125 2017 model. Other Focus models or Fiestas etc might get sent a slightly different package of files.
  12. NCH Express Zip displayed no errors for me but still gave the PKG ERR003 when I tried to install it.

Having downloaded the Sync 3 update zip file for my car, it will not install. I get the error message “PKG_ERR003. However, this is NOT because I have unplugged the USB drive during the update. I don't need a diagnosis to understand the issue: I have identified that the download provided by Ford contains a corrupted file within the Zipped SyncMyRide Folder.
