Hi guys considering buying a mk8 on pcp with the intention of keeping it after I pay it off, I’m just wondering, what can you change on a car while on PCP? are things like milltek catback exhausts etc fair game? an exhaust is probably the only real performance part I’d add, just looking for some clarification πŸ™‚
  3. Yeah the clip is on everything seems fine with it, ordered a new injector for it n hope it sorts it and if it doesnt then oh well its got a new injector. been driving me mad, ive also got another code P0459 wondering if that could possibly be related as its purge valve related

  5. the head bolts are torqued up correctly, the fuel rail is definitely secure, im just not sure what it could be, the top green o ring on the injector might possibly be worn as the rail has been on and off a couple times now so its possible its losing pressure there, i saw another thread where someone had the same issue but the the cause was the connector pins in the hp and evap were bent, im gonna have a look when im home
  6. by connector pins do you mean just the sensor near the hpfp? did you get the turbo code sorted as well mate?

Hiya folks, got a Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost, stripped and rebuilt engine, replaced a piston, it starts completely fine and holds a rev at anything until 2000rpm, when it hits 2000 it starts jumping around and dying out. I've got one fault code P0251: Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control A. Not sure as whats causing this, one thing i did notice, the cylinder that had the broken piston, the injector is actually sticking out further than the other 2 as in its not sitting flush with the bottom of the head, can anyone help? absolutely baffled with this
  8. Needing it on the road ASAP as I'm without a car at the moment, possibly something I'll look into though, I have saw a lot of people complain about the 5 speed
  9. thanks! thats a big help, worst comes to worst ill have to stick a new engine in it and can only try the 140 ecu and head gasket on a 125. even if it doesnt work with a 140 ecu, ill go for the 125 and ill get a bluefin and bring the power up, just quite new to these engines so unsure as to what you can do to them
  10. Ah yeah I was aware its got a different diff and turbo, fingers crossed it doesnt need another lump!

  12. Hi there everyone, bit new to these engines so needing a hand! Just bought a 65 plate mk7 Ford Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost 140hp Red Edition. its a non runner and i might have to stick an engine in it but what im wondering is could i stick a 125hp in it but still use my ECU that i have now? will that bring the power back up to 140? are the only differences in the engines the head gasket and the map? if you can help me out that'd be great cheers πŸ™‚

Hi everyone, old thread but thought its worthwhile posting here before i make a new topic I've just bought a MK7 140hp 1.0 Ecoboost thats a non runner, possibly have to stick an engine in it, would it be possible to buy a 125hp engine and still use the ECU i have now to bring it back up to 140? are all the engines the exact same bar the map and the head gasket? If someone can get back to me that'd be brilliant πŸ™‚
