  1. Titanium S? Is that X? Mines a Titanium X, does this mean I have the engine noise enhancement or not? Also I'm having major issues with FORscan to the point where I've spent nearly £100 on different adapters and nothing is bringing up more than just a few modules, but that's another story
  2. I've spotted some sound deadening material behind the side panels between the front doors and the front bumper, and there's material under the bonnet, but I think some Dynamat might help?
  3. Ok cool, this is good information, thank you!
  4. So does the MK3.5 focus amplify any of the engine / exhaust frequencies within the cabin? (1.5 Petrol Ecoboost 6-speed manual) If so, how to delete from the face of the earth?
  5. Ok so my mk3.5 has the Sony sound system upgrade. With Max bass, 2/3rds boost on midrange and +1 treble it sounds almost how I'd like. I listen to music via Android auto as it allows a much less grainy, delayed and compression-artifacty listening experience, on between 8 and up to 18 volume at most. I listen to mostly pop music (although nothing too tappy and rappy) so I like bass, but don't want to lose the rest of the tune to thudding or the effect that sounds like when you talk through a fan. I don't play it too loud also because I'd look like proper racer-boy and ASB-type, you know, the ones in the lowered, tinted, black 2013 3-series with the window down. I want deep and rumbly bass that doesn't make any other part of the car make noise (ie rattles). A few examples: 'How Will I Know' - Whitney Houston + Clean Bandit, '7 Rings' - Ariana Grande, 'Don't Be Shy' - Tiesto + KAROL G, 'I'll Be There' - Jess Glynne, 'Levitating (feat. DaBaby)' - Dua Lipa, 'New Rules' - Dua Lipa, and 'I Would Like' by Zara Larsson. I want to know what upgrades people have done to their systems, from basic to professional, and what I could do to mine. My plan was to swap the OEM woofers and tweeters for branded ones as I'm led to believe the Sony system only has the extra speakers and better amp, not better drivers. Also to lather dynamat on the inside of the door and secure anything loose as I often hear rattles from the door cards. I've heard of people putting amps from other models (ie a Kuga amp) in their focus, if that checks out then I'd definitely be up for it. Some have recommended that I unplug the centre dash speaker to enhance quality. I'm happy to give it a go but I am fond of the elevated and front-firing effect it has. Would I be looking at replacing the crossovers? If wiring speakers in that don't have the plugs the OEM ones have and come with crossovers? I want to avoid too much rewiring, but it's something I can tackle. What brands should I look out for? I fitted some JBLs in my last car and they were good actually, but I'm aware there's a lot of choice. Thanks!
  6. Did you have to enable anything via the OBD2 port? ie FORscan?
  7. This is awesome, good job! I'm yet to try and fit the heated steering wheel, so I'd love as many details and photos as possible if you get the time 🤩 Also you mentioned the ACC, I'd like to try and fit this to my focus too but I'm lacking in knowledge around the electrical sides of things. I'm happy to physically fit the parts but wouldn't know where to start if I needed a new set of electrical wiring (is this what people call a loom?). Also FORscan didn't like me so what to do once it's connected to the car would need explaining to me too 👍 Sorry I couldn't be much help, but I've been hoping for an update from you 😃
  8. Thank you! This has put a smile on my face 🤡
  9. Hi Ok so I've been doing some research and I've found the part I'll need to change my focus MK3.5's speed control buttons to ones with adaptive cruise control (+ACC front grill, maybe anything else? Let me know). I have found the part I need on this 7zap parts website (https://ford.7zap.com/en/car/183/no/0/2825/21007/95127/#14K147A - will jump to parts) but can't figure out the part number I'm supposed to use to search on eBay etc. The one I need has the symbols of the cars on the right (mine doesn't at the moment). I know it was an available feature as it's referred to in the manual (see image). Do you know of any other parts I'll need to make this work? Thanks
  10. A couple hours? I updated mine a couple weeks ago on the drive and it took probably no more than 15 mins, file was I think 8GB? I can't remember
  11. I've kind of answered my own question here, I found a page with the parts to the steering wheel and it looks like it's relatively modular, so putting the control buttons from the original wheel into whatever steering wheel is heated shouldn't be too much of an issue, but I don't know if there's plugs or writing that might be missing for the heated aspect of the wheel to plug into? https://ford.7zap.com/en/car/183/no/0/2825/21007/95127/#14K147A
  12. Oh ok, I found a 1.5 petrol Ecoboost with a manual transmission so went for that. What made you go for a diesel engine? Also, that switch is a gem! Would an ST Focus's heated steering wheel have the other hardware, like the voice command button and cruise control / speed limited buttons? I want to upgrade the car to have adaptive cruise control (although I haven't done much research other than part numbers of the alternative front grill I'd need), so would also need to find a heated steering wheel with that version of those buttons too. Unless they can be taken off and put onto whatever steering wheel you want?
  13. This is a turn-off for me. The buttons by the gear stick on mine are also all used so I think I'll give it a miss.
