  2. Hi all I have a problem, driving to work this morning the duct for directing hot or cold air to Passenger footwell fell off into the footwell. At least that is what I assume it is. I can't upload a photo at the moment, but its a wide plastic pipe which turns 90 degree and opens into two smaller pipes. It seems to fit behind the centre console to the right of the glovebox. Is this supposed to be held in place or does it just enough to push it back in where it came from? Regards, AJ
  3. :) its not just mine then... it wasn't annoying me that much but adding the damage of my housemate I thought it was finally worth a post. coysht - I guess you have a leather interior? or does the leather gear knob not look out of place without a leather interior?
  4. Yeah, When I first saw the added 'full stop' on the badge I was gutted, the car still even had new car smell at the time... Then I found a new ford badge costs about £7. So felt better. I like the idea of the gel overlay though, since I wouldn't have to actually remove the existing badge.
  5. Hi FoC Its been 5 months and 4000 miles since I got 'VO1D', was unlucky within the first month to gain sizeable a stone chip on the Ford badge on the front... I've pondered over this one and decided that at best I'm going to buy another badge and only try to fit it when I think about selling the car. First question is how horrifically difficult will it be when try to remove the badge and attach another one? I guess its all adhesive and not clipped in place? Next thing, very difficult to get a photo of (it looks worse than the pic :( ), is my gear knob appears to have scratching itself from
  6. I've been looking at removing the rear bumper. The best info I have found is over at this German site. There's plenty of pictures, and semi-understandable English translation thanks to Google. It's actually for fitting a towbar so hope it helps. http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://www.fiesta-ka-forum.de/showthread.php%3Fp%3D841381&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.com&twu=1#post841381
  7. Wow, £15 almost seems to good to be true. Found the grommet so I'm happy with that now. Don't think I'd be able to fit the antenna without removing the bumper since the gap between the bumper and exhaust is very small, although perhaps with the diffuser off it would be easier.
  8. The Ford Etis system says your car is Ocean blue, and a Google image search turned up this Jeans blue MK6 which in my opinion isn't the colour of your car looking at the pic. So I think your log book and Etis are correct. Now hopefully someone knowledgeable will answer your question about the paint codes ;) AJ
  9. Hello again FoC, I'm contemplating getting a electromagnetic reverse sensor kit, since I'm not willing to drill the holes required to fit a set of normal ultrasonic sensors. I'm not that bad at parking that I want to spend £200+ on getting a kit fitted, this option is about £60, which is slightly more piece of mind, then trusting my instinct. Firstly has anyone fitted these to a MK7? using search I found a post over in the Focus forum but nothing here. It looks pretty straight forward, bumper removal may or may not be required, from lying under the car back of the car to fit the mud flaps th
  10. Noticed this as well when I was fitting mudflaps, in the front wheel arch the paint looks like its film which has peeled back.
  11. I've also noticed my MK7 seems very prone to crosswind effect on the motorway commute between work and home where I'd previously never noticed it. My girlfriend pointed out in the local supermarket car park the Fiesta was much taller than the old Clio it was next to and about the same height as the new Focus in the next space over. So I now attribute what I thought might be the tires to an actual crosswind.
  12. Hi again FoC, Since I got my shiny new Fiesta in March I've had problems with the NSF suspension creeking (common problem it seems), its been back to my main dealer who couldn't replicate the problem so Next week the car is booked in to a ford garage near where I work so I take a technician out and demonstrate the problem. Hopefully they will fix it. Not just find nothing wrong like the dealer. The other thing I've noticed with my car is that the suspension seems to be very bouncy. If I find an uneven bit of road the front seems to rock left and right a few times before it settles, the drive
  13. Hi Guys, I'm new, got my MK7 Fiesta in Mid March when I scrapped my really old Peugeot 106. Really love the new car, massive step up from the old one. One problem I'm having with it is that when I go over a speed bump the front passenger side makes sort of squeeking noise. I was overlooking it until I realised if it was normal surely it would make the same sound on both sides. Any suggestions on what it might be? There's a speed bump on the entrance to my works car park so I hear it daily. My plan is to record the sound its making then take it to the dealer, what I don't want is for them to
