Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

    Fusion 1.4 TDCI
  1. Hi, I have a 56 plate Fusion 1.4 TDCI Zetec (35k miles) which I've had for about 2 1/2 months and over the last few days I've started hearing an odd noise like compressed air when under moderate to harsh acceleration. It usually only occurs when I'm already doing about 40+ mph. If I just cruise then it seems okay. I doesn't feel like it's loosing power and there isn't any black smoke that I can see. I took it back to the garage and they said that checked the pipes but couldn't find any problems. I'm hoping it isn't the turbo as I don't think it's covered under warranty. One other thing to note is that it can smell abit "engine like" in the cabin if I have the air vents open but less so if I have it on re-circulate. Any idea's ?
