Hi guys Today I did another reading at this shop close to home and here are the codes it gave me: P0191 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance p0238 Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit High p0263 Cylinder 1 Contribution/Balance Fault p0266 Cylinder 2 Contribution/Balance Fault p0269 Cylinder 3 Contribution/Balance Fault and p0504 or p504 something about the brake switch Any ideas? Thanks

Thanks mintalkin I will check the connections before I send it to the shop. And if they say that I need to replace the injectors, I'll ask them to recode once again. even though I think that these are siemens piezo injectors. Thank you

hey jamie yes there is one good workshop that repairs and checks injectors. I will take them out (hopefully next month since I'm very busy these days) and get them checked. I will post a follow-up to let everybody know how will it go, maybe I'll help somebody with the same or at least similar problem. Thank you for all your replies Jamie, I really appreciate it.

thanks Jamie you are being helpful and I thank you. I forgot to mention in the earlier post the knocking bit. It is sort of a diesel knocking sound it's just more loud than normal. I'm not sure if I'm explaining it right. For sure if nothing was wrong the comp wouldn't point to any errors. I also thought that the best solution would be for me to take out the injectors, get them checked and then when I refit them, change the copper sealing's, plastic brushes, and the rubber high pressure pipes. Will see how it goes. Any other suggestion would be much appreciated. Thanks

thanks piwko but it bothers me that the comp reading shows those errors and the shaking that I have it's not normal. I tried my friends fiesta and fusion they're both TDCI 1.4, they have a slight shaking , but it's nothing compared to my engine shaking. I don't know, I will send it to the ford dealer for a diagnostic check and see what they say. ( they will probably say that the injectors are bad and need to replace them ...a final cost of 1500 euros---but I'm not buying that ;) ) I will just do the check and see.

Hi James No the consumption is OK ...and the water is stable. it just that my 2 friends also have this engine and they seem to work more smoother and they don't have that shaking at 1000-1500 rpms. Aside from the shaking and loud knocking noise there are no other symptoms. I will disconnect the battery tonight and tomorrow I'll another reading (since I don't have the tool at home)and will post again. thank you

hello james_60 Thank you for your reply. Yes I'm reading them through the diagnostic port thats under the steering wheel, with a plastic cover. The car has around 50.000 miles. and also the car sounds like a tractor :) and shaking at those specified rpms, no other symptoms :) thanks

Hello everyone. I recently joined your club :) and bought a ford fiesta 1.4 tdci 2007. I have noticed that the engine is shaking around 1000-1500 rpms. I suspected an injector is at fault. I did a comp reading and it showed that there was something wrong with the second injector. I did a Diesel purge with liqui moly additive, but there was no improvement. There are no other symptoms other than the shaking. No power loss, no smoke no nothing. A few days ago I did another reading and now it gives me these errors: p0262, p0266, p0269 which mean Cylinder Contribution/Balance Fault in three injectors. I don't know what seems to be the problem. How can another two injectors go bad in just couple of days. Anyway after reading alot about the problem with the injector seals, I thought I'd give a try and change the seals, the 4 plastic spacers or brushes or whatever their name is (even though there is no smell of diesel in the cabin nor smoke from the exhaust). I just don't know the torque setting for the injectors, can anyone help me out ? Or any other Idea on what I should do ? Any help would be much appreciated. thank you.
