Posting in General Chat thread. 11/11/2017
it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

I've now put about 3000 miles on the car ( 10 plate 1.4TDCi ) since I got it with about 7000 on the clock, weekly average varies between 64 to 67 MPG driving mostly country A and B roads, very very pleased with this :)

Well after a week of driving I'm rather pleased what the car is telling my MPG wise, on a weeks worth of commuting ( just under 200 miles ) it's managing just over 63MPG and on this weekend's runs it currently over 64MPG, most of my driving is on empty countryside A roads with a little bit of dual carriageway mixed it. So from a weekly running costs point of view it's going to be the same or slightly better than the Aygo was while having more room, a vastly higher level of equipment and is loads nicer to drive :)

Just picked up a bottle of this, has a great smell, now just need a few more bits and I'll be able to give my new to me Fiesta a nice wash and wax. Plan is to give it a good clean and wax a couple of times a year and a regular wash & dry with maybe quick detailer application.

6 speed box would be worth while, I test drove a Yaris with a 6 speed box and it was great on dual carriageways or motorways, a ratio that would let my diesel do 70MPH at about 2000rpm would help push the MPG up.

Picked up a year old Zetec 1.4L Diesel with 7000 miles on it at the end of last week, currently on my work commute it’s averaging 63mpg and on a weekend blast up and down the M1 of about 100miles it managed 61mpg. I’ll add to the poll and add some extra thoughts once I’ve put a whole week’s worth of driving on it, loving it so far after switching from an Aygo.
