Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. hello this is from the halfords site on drls New cars must be fitted with DRLs to comply with the daytime running lights law. However, many drivers have been fitting them to older cars to take advantage of their benefits. If you're going to do this, follow these simple guidelines: Only use your DRLs during the day - they will dazzle other drivers at night Most DRLs automatically switch off when headlights are turned on. If yours don't, make sure you manually switch them off when it gets dark
  2. Daylight Running Lights

Hello stellaartios, you did well to get them supplied and fitted for £479 like you said ford garages must charge different prices throughout the uk, I know I paid a lot but I think they are well worth it
  3. Hello stellaartios, they do turn off when you switch on your side/dipped lights its a legal requirement that they go off when the side/dipped lights come on, can you post some pictures of yours for us to see, are they colour coded too or just the matt black ones
  4. They are alright yours would look good once on and working at least you dont have to cut in to your bumper to fit them so you'll have yours up and running in no time
  5. How much is yours setting you back if you dont mind me asking
  6. They give off a white led light, they are connected to 2 wires to the wires for the side/dipped lights and 1 to an earth point, I'll see if I can get a picture of them from behind
  7. The drls are not ford items they are MS Design drls but made for the fiesta, the anwser to your second question is that they only switch off when the side/dipped lights come on
  8. I've saved up for the last 7 months for these drls because I knew what the price would be from ford
  9. The drls cost me £432.00 for the colour coded ones the matt black ones were cheaper from my local ford garage, but there are some on ebay cheaper in matt black that you could get sprayed up in the colour of your car after you've bought them I found these after I ordered mine from my ford garage here is a link to them http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-FORD-Fiesta-2008-Daytime-Running-Lights-/120797575558?_trksid=p4340.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DDLSL%252BSIC.NPJS%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BUA%26otn%3D10%26pmod%3D120756031385%252B120756031385%26po%3D%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D4242035573812375644 Total cost was £612 for them, by buying them from my ford garage and getting them to fit them if anything does goes wrong with them I came take them back to the ford garage to get them to sort them sorted out
  10. Yes you get a template to use to mark out the shape of the drls and then they are glued in and left for 48 hours to set, the wiring is 3 wires 2 to the lights and 1 to the earth, I got my local ford garage to fit and wire them up at a cost of £180
  11. Hello all I bought and had fitted to my fiesta MK7 car the MS Design Daytime Running Lights colour coded in vision blue, Here a few pictures of my colour coded MS design Daytime Running lights fitted and working
  12. New Fiesta Mk7 Specs

They are from MS-DESIGN and colour coded to match my fiesta thats probably why they are expensive the ones with the black surround would be cheaper and they are made to fit the new shape fiesta I think that they would look cool once on and working but thats my opinion
  13. New Fiesta Mk7 Specs

They are expensive I've ordered some for my fiesta 2 days ago they are £432.00 just for the LED DRLS colour coded in vision blue then you'll have to pay ford to have them fitted, I will post pictures of before and after when I get them fitted some time in september and with the total price that I paid for them and fitting
  14. New Fiesta Mk7 Specs

where is the ordering/fitment process attachments 1 & 2 for the ms design led lights
  15. Where did you get the bolts from to secure the plastic centre console
