Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Rattle sound from dashboard

Not sure why he's jamming the screwdriver in at that angle. It's much easier to use a short one and push at 90° to the control stalk in the middle, feel for a springy bit of plastic and then slide the stalk off. Not sure if the mk2 is the same though. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  2. Had an issue with my old mk1 focus, the window would only go up about 5cm and then stop. Took the door card off, dripped some oil down the cable into the motor, held the window up button and gave the motor a good whack with my fist. Seemed to jolt the window back into life, worked fine until I traded the car in anyway. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  3. Windscreen scratches

Clay bars are generally used to remove little bits of grit from the paint, not aware of one being use for scratches in glass. Only things I'm aware of is buffer/polishing kits that can have a varying degrees of success, or replacement. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  4. Hi. Currently on my second Ford (Focus 1.6 and currently ST170). I'm looking at changing for a five door, and whilst I'm at it thinking a Mondeo. I can't afford the latest mk4, so thinking mk3. I don't want anything much slower than what I have, and I generally do short trips so thinking 2.0l petrol. I've seen some out and about in a similar colour to my imperial blue focus, but think that might only be a mk4 option? Also anyone tell me the difference between titanium and titanium x models? Definitely want cruise control, phone Bluetooth link and like the idea of satnav with rear parking sensors. Any other info or differences I should look for? Cheers.
  5. Fiesta Vs Focus?

Cheers for the link, will have a look. Will try and find out about the turbo, or how much it would be to fix if it did need one. From what I've been told, just change the oil every 6k and it should be fine. Will go have a look at a fiesta as well then.
  6. Fiesta Vs Focus?

Budget is within £9000. Generally its just me and a passenger, but do need to be able to take another 2 people sometimes. I do go camping a few times a year, so the space in a focus is good. Mainly town driving, but do get a bit of motorway and country lanes. Have found out that I can afford the insurance on a focus RS mk1, so its looking like a winner, but not sure about what I need to look out for when buying one. How well built are the fiesta ST's?
  7. Hey, just joined up. Currently I have a mk1.5 Focus Zetec 1.6l, and I'm wanting something with a bit more power. I had thought about the focus 2.0l (either mk1.5 or mk2.5), and ST170 or ST-3. The ST170 and ST-3 both have too high insurance for me, so my friend mentioned the Fiesta ST. I had a look around, and they are an ok price, and insurance isn't bad either. Is there a huge difference in internal space, how well made are they, and what are they like for town and motorway driving? Cheers for any info.
