Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. MK 2 (2007) Cigarette Lighter

I believe the mk3 Mondeo had the option of swapping from permanent to switched but definitely not heard of it on any Focus model. A new feed from a switched circuit and a fusetap is the only option. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  2. MK 2 (2007) Cigarette Lighter

Check fuse 39 under the glovebox. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  3. Audio confusion

Also the blank area in the connectors is where an aux cable would plug in. The phone logo is there because the radio will work with an oem bluetooth module if installed (seperate location to the radio). Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  4. Audio confusion

The radio will have the CDDC button instead of the AUX as a CDDC radio will not accept an aux input (unless you fit an interface box that converts aux into a cddc signal). Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

It is but I don't particularly care how many petals I earn. [emoji847] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  6. Recently there haver been posts stating that the latest iOS update (11.2.5) has introduced an incompatability with sync2 / sync3. Ford issued an official message concerning this on the 9th Feb- I have just received this message via FordPass, hopefully this will resolve iOS users problems (I'm on Android so unaffected ) -
  7. forscan license

The licence is free. Just register on the Forscan forum. If you need the temporary extended licence (for mk3/3.5 Focus) you have to request it. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  8. Upgraded From F5 Map to F6 Map !!!

I believe Sync3 updates via USB or wi-fi. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  9. Things I Don't Like

Unlike many people I am not inclined to be intimidated by lane bullies. Pity I wasn't in my work car, a show of covert blue lights from an unmarked silver ST estate tends to cause an amazing and sudden change of attitude. Provida speed data, ANPR and full front & rear recorded video is handy too. [emoji41]. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  10. Things I Don't Like

Being on the M5 between Bristol and Taunton, overtaking in lane three and having some total bellpiece flying up behind me in a vauxhall Insignia then getting arsey because I didn't instantly move out of his way. The fact that I was at the national limit and the other two lanes were full therefore having no place to pull in to let this complete tool go past plus his aggressive style of driving really peeved me. I also had my wife in the car and she gets twitchy at any speeds over the limits so I was doubly not impressed. Unfortunately I haven't got around to refitting my dashcam yet so no evidentiary video or details. As soon as I had even the slightest space to pull over, this div decided to undertake me in lane two, fly in front of me and proceed to weave and brake test me. The universal cupped hand signal was applied out of his window and much waving of hands was seen. He then shot into lane one and left at the next junction. If he was intending on going off at this junction in the first place why act like such a moron? If I myself were planning on leaving at this exit then I would have already been in lane one well before he decided to climb in my boot. Big satisfaction of all this was that I just happen to have the contact number for direct access to the Avon & Somerset control room on my phone (I do occasional official visits and support duties with them) and after passing his VRN to them and details of the event / offences I have received a courtesy call from their duty Inspector to inform me that they have found the driver and as he was reported by a fellow Officer (therefore the intelligence is considered as accurate and actionable) he has been issued with a NIP for dangerous driving and road rage, he couldn't be tagged for speeding as I have no calibrated ability to access his speed in comparison to mine (although I know 100% that he was exceeding the national limit by some considerable amount to appear from nowhere behind me so suddenly). I had a celebratory tab and a can of Red Bull at Taunton Deane services and the wife had a strong coffee to calm her nerves (she doesn't do this sort of thing daily unlike me). Karma is a female dog
  11. Anyone want bonnet lifters for their mk3?

Watch this video, the pipe realignment is covered at time index 1.54 to 2.36.
  12. Anyone want bonnet lifters for their mk3?

Concerning fouling of stuff on the offside. The front washer pipe and heated nozzle (if fitted) wiring run over the black plastic panel on that corner. Some lifter kit instructions advise moving the wiring & pipework under the plastic then cutting a V into the flap on the top for clearance. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  13. Removing dashcam

+1 Always glad to be of assistance [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  14. Things I Don't Like

I would have been on the phone calling it in immediately then driving off calmly to a safe distance. Then again that's what I'm paid to do. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  15. Mobile app. Has it ended?

Tapatalk was being difficult a couple of days ago. It wouldn't recognise my log in info. Possibly linked to the updates currently being carried out to the Forum's front end software. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
