  1. Did this on my old MK3, the rear skirt, side skirts and spoiler are bolted & clipped on, the front one is similar BUT, mine needed to be bonded on as it didn't fit flush with just the clips etc. I think I got a tube of something from Homebase
  2. Technically it's a Zetec with mostly ZS bodykit, and ST side skirts ;)
  3. Not been on in a while but I'm sorry to say that me and my MK3 Focus have parted company! I traded it in for a Mercedes A180 Sport a couple of weeks ago... I loved the Focus to bits and got it looking how I wanted it but at 4 years old and with doing 75 miles a day it was starting to get a bit rough round the edges. Got a good deal on the new one so it only came to £10/month more than the Focus and over 3 years instead of 4 I'll still lurk around the forum as we have two Fiestas in the family, and I'd love to see my Focus on here again with its new owner enjoying it as much as I did! 4. Happy Birthday jimrex!

  5. Not specifically true... Some early Zetecs like mine and the OP's did have the titanium overhead console with sunglasses holder and ambient lighting infrastructure in place. I wondered if ambient lighting could be activated, and after playing around with the relevant setting in the IDS software, mine was activated and instantly illuminated. I believe Ford then later changed the Zetec so it only had the ultrasound alarm sensors in the headlining rather than the full titanium goodies! Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
  6. Only just seen your pics Alex, have to say your new Focus is very smart! That new grey colour really sets the styling additions of the ZS off nicely. How do you find the new touch screen system in comparison to the old Sony? Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
  7. I have a MK3 1.6 TCDI, and commute a similar distance. With regular driving (I.e. not particularly gentle/economical), I get 53-55 MPG. That has dipped to 50-51 since the freezing temperatures though. Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
  8. I work for a fleet management company, we register our own vehicles anf essentially we're given a batch of 100 sequential registration numbers. Once we've used them up we get 100 more, it's all done online now. The dealer may, if they are kind enough, let you pick one from their allocation I guess.
  9. The dealer will have an allocation of registration numbers, he'll partially register the car against one of them on the Automated First Registration and Licensing system (AFRL) so that you can obtain insurance etc.
  10. Cost I guess, cheaper to source and fit on bulb for all rather than different ones for different trim levels... Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
  11. 2011 Ford Focus Zetec 1.6 TDCI 115 For sale is my 11-plate Ford Focus, purchased in July 2011 as an ex-demonstrator from Benfield Ford in Leeds. Being an ex-demonstrator, this car has a few toys including: Cruise Control Appearance Pack (Privacy Glass and 17" Alloy Wheels) Sony sound system with DAB/FM/AM, Bluetooth, USB, Aux-in, CD Player and Voice Activation Premium Centre Console (Armrest, z-shape handbrake, sunglasses holder and ambient lighting) Standard features include air conditioning, heated windscreen, front fog lamps, front electric windows, electric & heated door mirrors, height/reach adjustable steering wheel, driver's seat lumbar support, start/stop, multi-function steering wheel, Thatcham Category 1 Alarm/Immobiliser, gear shift indicator and Ford's EcoMode setting which monitors how economically you drive. The car has also been fitted with the full Zetec S dress up kit. The car is finished in stunning Panther Black and while there are some stone chips on the front bumper and a small scuff to the nearside lower front bumper (see pic), the car is in a good condition consistent with it's age/mileage. The car is also immaculate inside and has been well cared for whilst in my possession. It is taxed and tested until March 2015, and has recently had a full service as well as new tyres all round and new pads and discs. There is a full Ford service history and both keys are present. It is cheap to insure, £20 a year to tax and very economical achieving around 55 miles per gallon. The car has done around 52,000 miles but is in daily use. I'm advertising the car for £8,500 but am open to sensible offers. For more information or to arrange a viewing, please drop me a message Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
  12. Yup! You're bang on with your guess, mine are the same.
  13. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess, everyone's opinions will differ but hey, that's why there is a wide choice in the car market :)
  14. I do a 75 mile round commute, I'd always be filling an RS up! ST diesel might be a good idea though!! Sent from my GT-I9505 using Ford OC mobile app
