Annoying Buzzing Noise From Beneath The Stereo...

AFAIK, software update can be done only with Ford original diagnostic devices, and only having a maintenance contract with Ford. Most probably they had to bring your car to a Ford authorized dealer/garage. Furthermore, I think that if you manage to clean the sensor fan from the dust, and veryfy that the rubber part has been correctly installed, the buzzing noise will e mostly inaudible ;-)

Annoying Buzzing Noise From Beneath The Stereo...

I can tell you 100% sure. My car has been built in middle 2010, and at the beginning it was like yours: noise from the fan did not stop when I turned off ignition. After a service in the local Ford garage, they updated the software, and the fan behaviour has changed. I also recommend you to check the fan and eventually clean from dust with a small brush. This will reduce the vibrations and the noise.

Annoying Buzzing Noise From Beneath The Stereo...

I apologize for my english, as I'm not mothertongue; moreover, there are technical words that I don't know... anyway I hope I'll be enough clear to you. The noise comes from a small fan that sucks the air from the cockpit and blows to the temperature sensor. 1st solution: insert the rubber part, that acts as an absorber for fan vibrations (and in your case, this seems to be already done) 2nd solution: unmount the small fan and clean all the dust that has accumulated over the years. Do not oil the pin... just remove dust, and be very careful not to let any foreign body (dust particle, iron splinter, etc.) to fall into the fan pinhole. If that happens, you'll need to completely replace the sensor. This will help reduce the noise. Anyway this will not stop the fan from remain powered on after you switch off the ignition. As you have already read somewhere, there's a software update (that I think can be done exclusively in a Ford official garage) that will change the power policy of the fan. After the update, the fan will be spinning only when the ignition is on.

    Is that fine?

Fitting Parking Sensors To Fiesta Mk7

As far as I remember, there's a way to calibrate them, just check the installation manual. My sensors don't have any gap. They are completely seated in. It was a long ago, and I'm not 100% sure, but I think I used same rings.

Fitting Parking Sensors To Fiesta Mk7

I don't remember, I'm sorry. As I told you, I only remember that they're fitted inside each other, so it's not easy to remove.

Yes, I had to remove that.

Fitting Parking Sensors To Fiesta Mk7

The picture I did (and that you re-posted yesterday) shows a different situation to the picture you posted 30 minutes ago. It seems that I've got 2 big holes, while you have a big one and a smaller one. I don't understand which piece are you talking about to be removed, but I remember it was a pain to remove all the plastic things... they are fitted one inside each other.

You're right. My memories were wrong... I went to the car and checked. Actually there's no need to remove the spare wheel, just lift the moquette. The hole is in the right corner.

Yes, as far as I remember, that's the point. It's not below the spare wheel, but still you have to remove it to reach that point :-)

At the bottom of the trunk, once removed the spare tyre, you'll see holes with rubber cork. I made an hole in one of those corks.

    DRL on 2011 Fiesta (EU)

I would like to enable DRL on a 2011 EU Fiesta... I found the correct value to be modified with ForScan, and it works. Unfortunately I see that the beam is too strong to be DRLs ... it's about 90% of the standard beam. Is there a way to change this value to a lower one (i.e. 50% - 60%)?

Clean the fan, and also the pin. Don't put greasr or oil, otherwise the fan will stop working...
