Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Hello from Cockenzie

    Hello and welcome from Fife
  2. MK6 Fiesta driveshaft oil leak

A leaking driveshaft seal would have absolutely no affect on the engine coolant temperature. You could potentially have a blocked radiator, thermostat not opening fully or for the fact the temperature was rising when you were sitting still possible a radiator fan that doesn't work.
  3. Wishbone rubbers replace or repair??

Biggest involvement is getting the ball joint out the knuckle lol
  4. Strip everything off it though and use the parts. Saves faffing about dropping the rear beam when your working on the floor. im pretty sure the stub axles and stuff are the same for them both, I might be wrong.
  5. Advice on going DIY maintenance

what are the specs on it?
  6. Advice on going DIY maintenance

If you want to buy me one and send it up i'll do a review of it for you
  7. Does the mk6 not use the same/similar set up to the mk1 focus, swap the stub axles for disc ones.
  8. You don't need a rear axle. The parts simply bolt on.
  9. Brakes - a few questions

Without actually conducting a visual inspection of the entire system, you’ll never know.
  10. My software doesn't show a book time for your model.. hmm
  11. I can't see the details when I'm using my phone, so it does help when the details are added in lol. I guess I could have clicked into his profile lol.
  12. Advice on going DIY maintenance

You didn’t mention any additional testing so I presumed you had took the code as gospel as it would seem everyone does. not everyone knows what lambda probes should be doing, what long and short term fuel trims mean..
