Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Thanks for helping with this, I popped into my garage this morning for something else and mentioned it and he said it looked like the bulb was the wrong way around. He was right and I fixed it earlier. Thanks again
  2. Thanks! Not that I know of, I have had someone check with it parked up and all the lights on and it all looks normal. The fog and reverse lights look right. I did have a bloke flashing me down the motorway last week (I wasn't braking) but I got home and checked it andthe rest all looks normal so I am presuming he just wanted me to pull over so he could mug me. How do I go about checking the earth?
  3. I'm a bit stuck with my Fiesta. When I have the lights on, the brake light on the passenger side isn't lighting up. I changed the bulb today, and with the cover off, when I hit the pedal it does get brighter but not very much. With the cover on its barely noticable so when its dark and the rear lights are on it looks like the brake light is out completely. Its trying to light up but not really working. I'm using a Lucas 380 dual filament bulb 12V 21W which looks right. This is a newish problem that I only noticed a couple of weeks ago. I've checked a couple of bulbs and a couple of fuses. Any idea what else might be causing it? I doubt its the brake switch as its only one of them. In the meantime I am going to try and sort the top brake light so I at least have 2. Thats a problem in itself!
  4. Thanks. I got it tracked, it was slightly off on one side. I then went and got the brakes checked, and the rear drivers side brake had seized. It drove ok for about half a day and now I think its seized again in the rain and I am not convinced that the steering is any better. I think I might be being paranoid so I am going to get a friend who used to have the same car, and a colleague who has an 06 one to give it a spin to put my mind at ease. I need a decent garage really who will put up with me pointing and things and asking questions.
  5. Hi I have had an '03 Fiesta (Mk6) for about a year and in the last month I have noticed some understeer about 60% of the time. It seems worse when I turn right than left, and at lower speeds Power steering fluid hasn't moved, tyres are all in good nick and I checked the pressures this morning. I am going to get the tracking done at the weekend as its slightly off. Can anyone give me any ideas what might be wrong with it? Or just reassure me that its not going to need a new steering rack! Any recommendations of decent, not too expensive garages around South Birmingham would be helpful too. Thanks in advance!

How do I post a topic? I am having dash removal issues on my MK6 Fiesta and joined to see if anyone could help me.
