Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

Yeah but i like the look of the ST style ones ive got.. and worried the others wont look as good as i have this thing about things not being original, nothing against others doing the same though :)

Yeah so annoying the constant shudder that goes through the cabin, i don't want to buy a new set and the same thing to happen again, im i going really square!? im even looking at changing it for a Skoda Fabia, apparently manufacturers of happy drivers lol :) This is my last ford

Ok i've had this Mk 7 Ford Fiesta Zetec S brand new for 18 months and i have to say the drive is disappointing as its nowhere near as nice to drive as the mk 1 ford focus zetec. Its in its electric steering, it vibrates its not nicely weighted enough and i had the tracking done recently at an independant.. Complained to Ford and they once again did the tracking and it improved, (still lots of vibration though) and they told me to my surprise that i had 3 buckled alloys. Alloys are the big 17" ones you get with street pack. I told them i never ever had a car with buckled alloys before and i've owned loads of cars. Once again i have gone over a minor pothole that would not phase most other cars and again i can feel the tracking is definitely out again. I just want rid of this car now i don't want the expense and i don't enjoy driving it anymore as my eyes are just looking for potholes no matter how small!!!

cheers yeah thats an idea, ill think on that one the only thing im bothered about is allthough i like a firm ride and wont mind it firmer, will if make it too firm if i dont uprate the springs?
  6. Roly Poly Focus

well it could be that its 8 years old, but im beginning to think that its standard suspension as parkers said that they only put sports suspension after may 2000, and nine was registered in feb of that year. Its only done 44,000 miles What im gunna do is set aside about £500 - 1000 and revamp it, as it was gunna be a short term car after my mini got written off but as i like it so much im gunna keep it, and the way i see it will save me money from depreciation if i keep it for 2-3 years if i have to spend the money on doing it up well its a small price to pay

cheers for quick reply, yeah thats what i was starting to think think aswell, the mini's a great handleing car, the thing is i think the focus gives you better feedback in its steering feel and prefer it becouse of this, its just the body roll and bad brakes.

Hi just got a 1.8 year 2000 focus after my old car got written off, and generaly i love it. I owned a 2002 focas untill 4 years ago and to be back in one is great, back to the nice well weighted steering i so missed. Anyways just had a quiery on the suspension settings. It could be me but i thought that with it being a zetec model, it would have sports suspension. However the thing im finding is it leans around corners quite a bit more then im used to, maybie its partly becouse ive come from a mini and they are quite kart like. If it doesnt have sports suspension, then can i easly upgrade it and is this expensive? Also same sort of thing with the breaks - very spongy, i think again im used to disks all round. can i easly upgrade this? Dont mean to sound like im slagging the car off, im not i love it, its just i feel like it lets itself down in these only two area's Thanks Richard
