Posting in General Chat thread. 11/11/2017
it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

Sitting watching Wheeler Dealers where they buy restore and sell on a Ford Sierra Cosworth. They look gorgeous but I wouldn't touch one with a bargepole. I've been told by many of that generation who owned/drove a sierra that they littered the hard shoulder with their bonnets up : p.

I had this same problem and it turned out that the plastic cover (otherwise known as the cowl) was not clipped into place properly and it virtually flooded my whole car. If you need any more help or want me to post pictures of what I mean then let me know. At the very least it will rule that out. I drive a 2002 Ford Focus but it may be a similar process. Jamie -
Yeah, was my first time driving one properly and I had great fun. Having no rear view mirror takes a bit of getting used to but enjoyed my day with it, even though I was a bit on edge with it being a rental van and all. :P

Hired a van yesterday to retreive some belongings from Dundee and got given a 12 plate transit. That thing can shift :o. I have a new love for vans :P

Aww mate, missing out. The first one is easy to find with the original 1971 Mach One Mustang (see below). The first Eleanor! My mistake though, Deadline Auto Theft is an independent film, not technically Gone in 60 Seconds but looks good. The trailer is on youtube.

Has anyone seen the sequel to the original gone in 60 seconds film in 1974 by H.B. Halicki? It was made in 1983 I believe and it's called Gone in 60 Seconds: Deadline Auto Theft. I haven't seen it anywhere, just interested to find out if its any good.

Haha, hopefully. Classic case of overconfidence. I'm hoping they get a fright and realise how much more difficult to drive well. I got pulled over for speeding once. Was an honest mistake, no boy racing or anything but I learned from it and always respect the rules of the road.

Hello, I'm looking to get a Capri for my next car and I've done a bit of research into what to look for like rust and to watch for the general condition of the bodywork/engine. I was just wondering if there are any Capri drivers who could advise on any other things to watch when buying a Capri second hand? I really fancy a MK3 either 1.6 or a 2.0l. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

I know a couple of boys that went out and bought themselves a Corsa and a Clio. The Clio is "modified" and is in a state. What worries me is that they're both 17 and haven't even started lessons yet they're talking about "racing" each other. I just despair at them because they're the reason insurance premiums are so expensive! Don't get me wrong, I'm not having a dig at modified cars. I like ones that are tastefully done, especially a nice classic ford ;). Well hopefully they get their licence taken away from them and don't cause to many accidents.

I think it's a bit of both to be honest, The seal for the panel needs re done anyway but yeah I think it's more a problem with the tray underneath.

I had a look at the flooding problem so here’s a quick update. It looks like the adhesive seal that fixes the trim that covers the pollen filter is non-existent. The seal around the housing for the pollen filter is pretty worn as well. That means a trip to the Ford garage tomorrow to get a price for a bottle of sealant. In the meantime, I’ll use towels and heaters to try and dry out the floor panel a bit.
