Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Thanks for your reply However i recently found out that the model i have dos'nt have them
  2. Hello this is my first post .Here's a brief introduction, I bought a 2003 mondeo graphite TDci, 2 months ago and have had lots of problems with warning lights, engine cutting out, hard to start, glow plug problems to mention a few. The main problem i have at the moment is with it not starting on a morning, and flashing glow plug light when driving and then cutting out. I recently had a mobile mechanic with a diagnostic machine round one morning, he started the car straight away using easy start in the airfilter, he also told me that the fuel pressure was low at the time he started it. I know there are a lot of problems in this area. so i thought i would start by checking the lift pump and the fuel cutoff switch, but i can't find them, going from a hayes manual the pump is next to the fuel tank and the cutoff switch is in the cab on the passenger side, i have followed the pipes from front to back and found niether, can anyone tell me where else they might be?
  3. I too have a knocking noise which i suspect is the same problem, i'm assuming by the top mount , that this is the shock absober but how can i tell and what other places should i check
